If a chain breaks while your riding it...there's a good chance it could wrap around inside the back wheel and this would cause it to lock up and put you in a fish tail....yes!

No, a bad cat will make the engine run rough or even stall if broken up inside-then it plugs up the exhaust.
Look for loose or broken suspension links, sway bars, loose strut mounts, or other rear suspension parts. Check the front suspension, too. Suspension parts are what keeps the wheels aligned, and allow for wheel movement, independent of the car frame.

Chain size


If it was me, I'd measure the chain already on this bike or go to Walmart with a tape measure and measure one there. I assume you don't have any of the paper work that came with the bike originally? What do you intend to do, Are you going to replace the chain ? You can get a kit to replace a broken chain / link, if you need to. You just punch out the rivet on one side with the tool in the kit, then pop in the connector and attach the locking clip . Remember to feed the chain through the frame at the back., before you do this.

A new chain will need frequent adjustment untill it is broken in. Hold the tip of the bar up when tighting the bar nuts

Cracked frame in 4 places on the rear chain stays. At the seat tube and at the crank tube.


when a frame is broken it is usually unfixable. you could get someone to weld it but it will probably brake again. could buy another frame and use same parts but some may not be compatable..ie.. seat pole.. unless it has very good running gear it would be better to buy new bike

I am new to the biking world, however i did recently purchase the Kawasake 73026-9 Dual Suspension MTB. The issue i am having is that the gears seem to be slipping while trying to take off in the lower...


It's possible that you have the bike in a gear combination that it should not be in. It's a little hard to explain here but I'll give it a try. There are certain combinations of gears that cause the chain to be a bad angle to the front and rear gears. If you are in a front such that the chain on the front gear is closest to the bike frame center and the chain on the back gear is furthest from the bike frame center, it means that the chain is at a too severe angle to the gears and that the chain may slip. The reverse is also true. If the chain on the front is on the gear furthest from the bike frame center and on the gear in the back closest to the bike frame center, you will have the same problem. In summation, this means that not all gears in the rear should be used with all gears in the front. This isn't a great explanation but you should be able to find some articles about appropriate gearing combinations on the internet. It is also possbile that your derailleurs are out of adjustment or that your chain has a stiff link as well as several other problems. I'd focus on the gearing and see if that solves the problem. How do i remove the baffels for samson fishtail


The fishtail tips would have to be removable to get to the baffels. And some of the baffels are not removable. i would call Samson and ask one of there tech's.

Timing chain question


Go here: http://www.bikebandit.com/ Look up under OEM Parts and pick your bike. Look at the engine Fiche. The Vulcan Has 2 timing chains. 2 Tensioners. the engine is overhead cam the chains turn the cam. But It sounds more like fouled plugs or carburetor problems.,
