Question about Bosch 24 in. SHU53 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Buttons not working

The dishwasher works fine, but I cannot change the cycle because none of the buttons work. It is as though they are all frozen in one position and cannot be depressed to select a different cycle.
Any ideas?

Yes, I bought mine used. The owner said it was about seven. Shortly after I installed it, the buttons froze as described. I chose a cycle and wash everything using that cycle. I popped off the button for delay start and use a pencil eraser to set delay start. I would rather use it the way it was designed . . .

Brand new Matytag MDB7749AWB Dishwasher does not work correctly. As soon as the power was turned on, all three cycle indicator lights ('Wash', 'Dry', and 'Clean') came on and always...

Try putting the unit into a test mode. This my clear your issues otherwise call for service.

One of two ways to do this.
In standby (no lights) Press the combination of buttons:
hi temp wash > sanitize > hi temp wash > sanitize > hi temp wash
All lights will come on and the washer will run a test cycle anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes.
If that button comb doesn't work use:
heated dry > sanitize > heated dry > sanitize > heated dry

No power

Hi lushman001

I'm Harvey the Master Plunber.

Your question is: your 3-yr-old dishwasher (Whirlpool 24-inch ) stopped in mid-cycle. A small amount standing water in the bottom of the washer. None of the control panel buttons were lit up and none of them will work. NO POWER

First check all the breakers (or fuses).
Second check the electrical connections. If you're not a qualified electrician or service tech then call one. It"s under the unit behind the kickplate.

Feel free contact me again!

The blinking button indicates the button is bad. The button console will have to be replaced.

Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus Dishwasher is not despensing the detergent properly. After a wash cycle there is still some left.

My Whirlpool Quiet Wash plus dishwasher seems to have died. No power. None of the buttons work, it quiet mid-cycle. No breaker issue, my garbage disposal runs off same breaker and is working fine. Any ideas? I was thinking the comp. board that the buttons work off of is fried. If this is the case any idea how much to replace it? Would it be cheaper to buy a new dishwasher?
