How can i login my password protection screen, if my keyboard is nit visible?

If there is a mini-USB port or USB port plug in a keyboard to try and complete the login process.

If this a Windows 8.1 system you can enter recovery mode chose to open in safe mode first to see if the keyboard comes back. If that does not work chose to restore the system to a point before you could not access the keyboard, or just select refresh the OS to resolve the issue. Remember if you refresh you are NOT deleting your user files or settings you are just refreshing the OS. If you reset you WILL BE resetting the OS to the way it was when you first purchased the device.

Hope that helps.

How do i sign in as administrator

Thanks for posting your question with us at fixya!

1. When you FIRST turn on your PC, start pressing the 'F8' key on your keyboard, until you get a menu. When you see this menu, STOP.
2. Using arrow keys, move up to either "Safe mode with Networking" or Safe Mode".
3. Hit the "Enter" key.
4. The "Administrator" account button will show up on the login screen.
5. If there IS NO PASSWORD (or if you know it), sign into the "Adminstrator" account.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes and if it did, please rate my solution! Thanks!

Keyboard wont respond after login, number pad works but rest of keyboard does not, need help to take keyboard out so i can replace it ?

OK, it sounds like your keyboard has been hijacked by an infection. If it works long enough for you to login then it works, but stops after windows loads because the virus also loads.

Try going into Safe Mode and see if the keyboard works. Turn off your computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see Safe Mode. Select Safe Mode and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you because the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. Once it boots to your desktop, try using the keyboard. Open up something like Notepad or Wordpad and hit every key to see if they work. If they work, you surely have a virus infection. Most viruses can't function in safe mode because they need a internet connection and a normal startup. if the keyboard works lets get the lil ******.

Turn off you computer again and turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see Safe Mode. This time scroll down until you see SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING. Select Safe Mode With Networking. This will give you internet connectivity. Open up your browser and download and install MalwareBytes.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download andinstall malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When thesite opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do notclick the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the GuiInterface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version orDecline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run aQUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be inred. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad textdocument will open up showing you the results. You can close the textdocument and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTEDRESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When itfinishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot yourmachine.

My computer will turn on go thru all the motions like it is working it says windowsxp then goes to welcome screen then goes to my screen it wont show any programs or the start

It seems the Explorer.exe is not running properly or isn't loading. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete (when it shows nothing on the screen) on the keyboard, the Task Manger will pop up, click "File" and select "New Task (Run)" and type in "explorer.exe" (without quotes), wait for few seconds, it should open up all the features properly, if this fails, go into Safe Mode and try again. To go into Safe Mode, restart the computer and keep tapping the F8 button on the keyboard until you see the Advanced Boot Options with Safe Mode as one of the options. Select Safe Mode using the arrow keys on the keyboard and press enter, you will see white texts in the black screen, wait until you see a warning to confirm whether you want to boot into Safe Mode or not, give a positive input and proceed forward, once windows is loaded, you better run a full system virus scan or I would also recommend System Restore.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Hi,
The problem you are facing is that , windows login screen has got corrupted and failes to load your profile.
Restart the computer and tap on the F8 key a couple of times .Select the option "Safe mode". Login as admin a/c.

Disconnect all peripherals except keyboard ,mouse ,monitor and power cord from the back of the tower.

Run a system restore
1.click start>all programs>accessories>system tool and system restore.

if the system restore doesnot work , then you would have to create a new user account .
1. click start>click control panel>click user accounts > create a new account

Windows xp will not start in normal mode

This is not a good sign. If you are seeing the dots, which I am assuming they are in rows, or some line-like uniformity, when you first boot and on the Startup screen for Safe Mode (which is before Windows loads), this is an obvious indication that your video card has gone bad, and needs to be replaced. There is no software being loaded until you see the login screen to windows, or atleast the blue login screen flashes. This means you need to replace your video card. Fortunately, this is usually neither expensive, nor that hard. A decent video card can go for around $50 or more, depending on your needs. If you are a gamer or graphic designer, then a higher-end card will be more. Putting a new card in is not as hard as it may seem, but you may have experience on this. Let me know if I can be of further assistance, but this should solve your problem.
