Re: xbox can't recognize
Disk cleaners are useless. They only remove dust. They also don't clean the parts on an xbox that need to be cleaned. If you smoke, burn incense, or diffusers around your xbox or from just time itself. The lens clouds up and needs to have the resin removed. Also when doing a cleaning clean the hub as well. Sometimes particles get on the hub and causes the disk to skip due to alignment. Refer to the video below to get an idea of what i'm talking about.

Is it a new or old xbox? and have you tried cleaning it with one of those dvd disk cleaners that cleans the lens sounds retarded but my old xbox was the same issue i ran that dvd cleaner through and the games worked again
the problem is with the disk reader or the game first try a new game then if that dose not work then you need to pull the x box apart and get to the disk drive pull that apart and you should see a tiny lens what you need to do is clean that lens with a Q tip and rubbing alcohol for instructions on how to pull apart the x box look on you tube
look around the disk tray for any dust and gentally use a vaccum cleaner to clean around the tray, use a wet cd lens cleaner with the cleaner fluid and run it in a few times, usually this works but if it does not it could mean you need a new dvd drive
check around the disk tray for dust and use a vaccum cleaner to clean it, then use a wet cd lens cleaner with cleaning fluid a few time.
This should cure the problem but it might be that your drive is dead
if the xbox can read other games perfectly fine i would say that it might be a defect with you copy of the game. if other games have the same problem it means that the lens on your xbox is dirty or scratched. if dirty you could use a lens cleaner, but if its scratched you would need a new DVD drive put into the xbox which would have to be done through microsoft
Hi, Have you tried using a lens cleaner? If you don't have a lens cleaning disk, take a cotton bud and, VERY GENTLY, brush the lens free of dust or lint. Be careful though not to press down on it, as this might render the lens, and hence your xbox, inoperable. I would advise buying a lens cleaning disk for such cleaning though.
Try to use cd rom lens head cleaner, the one with the small brush at the middle of the disk, never use cleaner using liquid solution. the best cleaning method is to open the cd and clean manually the laser lens using a cotton buds, the lens are so delicate so don't apply too much force. you can easily locate the lens in the cd case, it is a round bluish lens. cd rom cleaner works best when your unit is clean!! Huhh? Run it once a day, regularly, its like sweeping the floor of your house before you work for that day. Cd rom cleaning depends on playing back the No 1 and jumps to no 3 tracks, cleaning takes place on track 2 of the disc, you cannot clean if you cannot play the unit.. get that?
