I've got a cingular 8125 abd it loses its signal out of nowhere i called at&t and all they did was send a air signal is there anything else I can try

I have had problems with the incoming signal on that model phone for sometime.
The best thing from you to do, is have the phone replaced by AT&T
You should explain to them that the phone has a intermintent signal lose and the phone is used for you work.
If you have little luck in the replacement of the unit, bring it to a AT&T outlet and ask them to shift channels on the phone.

When I insert a new SIM card in my cingular 8125,it asks for a SIM lock code.it displays a messagr''you have tried 8 times,please wait for retry'' fix it please.


It's asking for a PUK code, which you need to get from your provider. You can call customer care and they can give it to you. If you put the wrong code in 10 times your phone will permanently lock, so be careful!

you have to open up the phone and try to remove and connect the screen flex cable back to it's original position

Charger on phone is loose

you have to contact T-mobile technical support and have them guide you through programming their internet settings on the phone. although the phone is unlocked the internet settings currently on the phone is for cingular. have them program the same settings as the t-mobile MDA phone (same phone as 8125, shipped for t-mobile)

Your screen may have burned out, or the wires connecting the screen to the phone may be damaged.

Does the phone display regular pictures during bootup? If so you might be able to reflash the phone and write over whatever problem is causing it. If the phone goes white even when you first turn it on then I'd say it's very likely the actual hardware is damaged.

SanDisk problem


Blast slot with compressed air, especially if you use phone without the blank in thus mentioned slot for it has no cover. If this has no affect, than it is a hardware problem. Go to a Cingular store that has someone that knows the phone, I'd call ahead. Check the online manual, maybe.

Sim unlock


Contact Cingular if the Sim is locked. Only they can unlock the phone legally IF they locked it. If you locked it and forgot, I would still suggest calling them about it. Doing anything on your own with this problem could void warrenties and insurances you have on the phone. You could also lose service if you do it yourself.
