Question about Computers & Internet
Hey. i have a dell insipron 1501. my cd-rom takes a long time to read and cd/dvds and after it does read or see them, i takes ages to install anything. the same thing happens to my usb flash drivers, in that it takes a long time to see them as plugged in. i have recently fully formated the hard. any suggestions would be welcome.
Note You may also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You do not have to remove that entry. Click UpperFilters only. If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you still might have to remove the LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to step 8.
Note If you do not see the LowerFilters registry entry, unfortunately this content cannot help you any further.

There are drives in Device Manager for reading media drives, try updating them, try removal tools for any old drivers that clog up systems, as well, The Disc tool that repositions files on the drive for faster access. Clean out old temp files with Disc Cleaner (in Accessory Tools under Windows, and in the Internet Options, you can clear out cache. It just helps the system pick up speed. (Defragmenter)
