Question about Canon PowerShot A520 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Memory card error

I bought a new memory card because I needed 2 of them 1 for my digital picture frame and 1 for my camera. Today I put the new one in my camara and it said memory card error. I put in the one I have been using and now it says memory card error also. The old one worked fine this morning. To sum it up both cards says memory card error. I hope you can help me because I need my camera for Christmas Eve party. Thank you in advance

I have a brand new canon S5 IS camera which was working fine with the 32 MB memory card (for the first 10 pictures). The I bought a 1 GB memory card and am receiving "memory card error". I am trying to follow the instructions in the manual and am not having any luck. Troubleshooting says that I need to go to 'tools' and then click on 'format'. Well, 'format' is gray and will not let me select it. I cannot find anything else in the instruction manuals relating to that. Can anyone help with this?

I tried ALL the suggestionas for my fuji fine pix J150W camara. still have the message of "frame no full". Thanks for all the efforts. I will be buying a new camara.

Don't buy a new camera yet. This solution will help you correct your camera problem. If this helps consider voting me.
1). Insert a new memory card.
2). Format the memory card using the FORMAT function in SET-UP menu in the camera.
3). Set RENEW as the FRAME NO. setting in the SET-UP menu.
4). Start taking pictures.
5). Set CONTINUOUS as the FRAME NO. setting in the SET-UP menu.

Good luck! And thanks for using FixYa!

CARD FULL with 3 pictures

Have you tryed eraseing / formating it in the 740?

Make sure the camara uses the card instead of internal memory
it might be that its saveing the images into the cameras internal memory witch is probably just about 3-4 shots.

I need instructions on how to load pics to my Optimus 07A08 digital frame.

On the back of the frame remove the memory card, then You need to use a pc with a Memory card reader, you can get usb card readers that simply plug in your usb, then copy all the pictures you want on the card from pc.

Digital camara and memory card

Basically picture files in memory card have corrupt data that's why computer doesn't recognize it.
HP recommends following action...
Close the HP Image Zone or HP Photosmart Software, disconnect the camera from the computer, and reset the camera. (can see this at HP Support)
2nd option is to find some memory card data recovery software on internet and use it to correct data files in memory card.
Thank you.

Screen reading memory card not initialized

It sounds like your XD card is corrupted. How and why i couldn't tell you. You will need to get the pictures recovered from the card using a special software (image recovery software, can down load for free from some web sites, or some companies can try and do it for you) and then try and format the card in the camera. DO NOT FORMAT THE CARD BEFORE YOU RETRIVE YOUR IMAGES. If you do all traces of the images may be lost.

All the best and happy snapping.

Hello

  • Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  • 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  • 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  • 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  • 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  • 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Olympus SP-320 memory full when 1GB xD picure card in camara

If you download the photos that are on the internal memory to your computer, the next time you take photos it should go to the memory card that is loaded. It worked for me, so I hope that helps
