Question about Gaggia Syncrony Compact Coffee Maker/Espresso Machine

1 Answer

I have an old larger version of the Digital Synchrony and have a message that says 'hot water ventilate'. I have tried to run hot water through the machine using the hot water tap/button but nothing happens. It eventually tells me to turn the tap off. The machine heats up and makes a noise but I can't get any water flow at all. Any ideas?

Check the end of the steam spout that may be blocked, use a paperclip to clear. If you still get the same result then the machine needs to be descaled.

I have the same problem on a Syncrony Digital Compact and it happend right after I descaled it. I used the descaler bought from partsguru.com and this is what I've always used. First, descaling took less than a minute, as well as the rinsing process, after which I had the "ventilate" message. Ventilating, it took about 1 hour to empty the tank. I took the brew unit out, cleaned behind it, cleaned the spout etc. Put everything back on and now no water is coming out at all when I ventilate and after a few seconds it stops and dispays "Hot water, Turn Knob". I turn the knob and goes back to ventilate. I think there is no water going through the system. The part with the spring in the tank works properly. Please HELP! I have been taking good care of my 3 yr old Gaggia just to avoid situations like this.

Why in my saeco VENTILATE message comes? Also grinder is working continuously why?

On grinder it might be set too fine...
On ventilate, there is an air lock in the hydraulic system, run the hot water cycle for a few seconds to clear.

Keep getting ventilate message - won't ventilate and cannot operate steam or grinder w/ ventilate message

Try this run the hot water cycle for a few seconds, it that works, try steaming if you get the message again clear it by running the hot water cycle and then go to steaming, this time push in on the knob after you open it, it that works, then the tap rod or the valve assembly needs to be replaced.

What does ventilate mean?

Hi,

"Ventilate" simply means that there is an air pocket caught in the system and running water through it can fix the problem. When the ventilate message appears, you will need to run hot water through your steam/hot water wand as if you were going to fill your cup with hot water. If the message does not go away after doing so, you will have to run hot water through your wand continuously into an empty container (emptying one full water reservoir if not more). Once your display screen reads "Select Product, ready for use," you will be ready to brew delicious coffee again.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Check the end of the steam nozzle, make sure it is not blocked. If not then with the knob open for hot water cycle push in on the knob if that works then the tap rod assemble or the steam valve needs to be replaced.

Gaggia Synchrony Compact Digital Problem

Hi,

I think you have get air in the system, try to find a bellows pump or similary. Fill it with water, open the steam knob and take of the water tank, put the pump in the water inlet and press. When the water begins to flow, close the steam knob and put the water tank back.

Best regards

It means you have an airlock in the water system. It can occur when you refill the water tank also.
Quite often you can run the hot water nossle untill the airlock clears. You will hear it splatter and then it should be sweet to go.
