Question about Sony KP-48V75 48" Rear Projection Television
There is no lamp in your TV. It has three 7" CRT tubes. If your picture look normal except for a white or gray bar across horizontally either moving slowly or static, you probably have a power supply problem. If you have a wavy horizontal bar, if could be magnetic interference coming from a very powerful transformer or motor.
If you have no picture or the picture is compressed into a horizontal bar, you vertical output circuit is bad. If you have odd color picture, and a colored horizontal bar, it also is a problem of the vertical output.
If you have no picture or compressed picture and a vertical bar, your horizontal driver circuit is bad.
If you can describe the symptom better, maybe I can help you isolate the problem. Regardless, I think the problems is not something an ordinary user can fix. Please remember that the CRT tubes can hold dangerous high volt charge for a long time even when it is unplugged.
