Use a card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop.

Green light on but nothing works

When the camera starts acting in a strange or unexacting way, you could "reset" it, by removing the battery for a few moments and then replace it. But be aware, the green light is on, normally, because the camera is accessing the memory card. If it can't recover from that (and the light stays on) it could be the memory card has a problem. So next to removing the battery, I should advice you to remove the memory card, and save everything on it to a computer, using an external memory card reader.
If there are no important pictures on the card, you could try to switch on again and if the camera works normal, you could try to get the pictures of the normal way with the USB cable.
If you saved all pictures to a PC, I would give the memory card a format in the camera using the setup menu, Format memory, like the manual on page 115 says.
Be aware if you only have an internal memory, you should format this and pictures in there can't be recovered.

Nothing happens when i plug into my usb port to download pics. green light on camera blinks is all that happens. was working fine until now

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Motorola S9 headset won't charge batteries

This might work if you aren't using the ORIGINAL charger. I had this problem when my cat chewed through the original Motorola charger. I figured my Blackberry charger would work fine, but it didn't. I then discovered that my Blackberry charger was 700mAH and the broken charger was only 550mAH. When I found another charger with the proper power it charged. I also found that it worked when plugging it into my computer with a standard mini USB. I hope this helps.

Hy hp d530 won't turn on

Hello,

I have a similar problem:

My Compaq d530 was running fine until one day during plugging in a USB device (MP3 player) the system completely stopped working. The only thing which is active is the green LED on the mainboard.

I have checked several things and have found the following:
- IDE cable had burn marks!! (nasty)
- USB connection cable which runs from the front to the motherboard has changed in color. (darker green while all other connector have e more light white color.)

These are the signs of a brun out, but I do not have any solution to repair this.

Economically the best thing to do is buy a second hand (or new) system. (d530 are about 60 euros these days (march 2009). Hardware parts can maybe salvaged.

The easiest way to transfer images is to put the media card into a card reader attached to your computer.

Photos not downloading

I tested it one more time at my home on my personal pc and it worked fine. Then when I came into work today, I pluged the USB cable into the second monitor and it worked. I have no idea why it would not work the other night. It's a mystery.
