You can either reinstall the programs again over the top of whatever applications that you have or go down the route of deleting each application completely, but leaving your data in tact, by going to Start - Control Panel - Program Updates - Highlight the application (name of program) and click, then select Delete / Uninstall applications and wait until the process is complete. Do this for all the apps that don't work and then get a free 30 eval of Ashampoo from www.ashampoo.de and use this to clean your system of all the junk and also clean the registry as many applications will leave entries in there even though they are not being used thereby slowing down and potentially causing application and driver conflicts.

Then you will need to reinstall each of the failed applications to fully restore your system.

Then make sure that once this is done that you create a full restore disk of the machine in its clean state. Then make sure that you create a system restore point every so often so you can revert your system back to a known good state of working point just in case you contract another virus an have to cure it again.

Try reverting your system using the 'System Recovery' option in Windows and make sure that the virus is completely gone. I recommend using Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php) to get rid of the virus. If programs still dont work then you will need to reinstall them, no simple way about it sorry. To prevent future problems you should get a firewall

Free antivirus program

You don't have a question here, but I will comment on AVG. I used to use AVG and have Beta Tested both AVG and AVAST. AVAST I can set up a Boot-Time Scan and with AVG I can not. Importance of a Boot-Time Scan, is getting rid of persistent viruses. There is NO, and I mean NO antivirus program that totally works under Windows. The Boot-Time Scan works under DOS and runs before windows is loaded upon your next restart. It takes longer, but it works very well. Depending on the size of your hard drive and the number of files on it, it can take as long as 2 to 2 1/2 hours. It is automatic, so walk away and when you see windows has loaded, then the Boot-Scan has finished. There is a log file that you can view to see what it found if you want to look. Once AVG let a virus into my computer, I went to AVAST and never went back, mainly because AVAST works and also the Boot Scan feature that AVAST has. Years ago, there was a DOS based virus scan that I had used on a Floppy Disc to rid computers of nasty virus attacks and infested PC's. It was proven to me that only a DOS based program can rid any virus a PC is infected with. With the free version you do not necessarily get all the help you need, but with the paid versions you will get all the Bells and Whistles. While free is alright to try, I recommend you Buy! This keeps software development going in the right direction and improvements flourishing.

Slow pc. may have virus?

Do you have an anti virus installed in your computer? If you have one, then run an anti-virus scan in your computer.

The problem seems virus related.

If your anti virus can't fix the problem, then you need to clean reinstall the whole operating system to get rid of the virus.

I hope this helps!

I scan my computer for viruse and have some , iwould like to clear everything up. i dont have a credit card is there any way to do this free

Are you sure your computer actually has one or more viruses? You may be a victim of one of the fake antivirus programs that can get into your computer. These pop up windows showing scan results that tell you all sorts of viruses have been found, but they're all completely bogus. The only real trouble is the program itself. Usually it becomes difficult to use the computer because the program keeps nagging you, or it refuses to let other programs run because they are "infected".

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is a good tool to start with. Download and install the free version. When you run the program, have it check for updates and then run a quick scan. It's a very effective program even in its free version and I use it frequently to get rid of nasty stuff on client machines. You can also install the latest version of one of the free anti-virus programs (Avast!, AVG or Avira) and scan your computer. Sometimes a new version or different program can find and eliminate something another program missed.

You can also find many removal tools for specific viruses if you need them. Bleepingcomputer.com is a good site with many tools and helpful information for getting rid of viruses.

I recommend running a few programs to make sure that you don't have a virus, spyware or adware hiding in your system. Avast is a free anti-virus tool that is very effective. Super-anti-spyware is great for getting rid of spyware, and Adaware is a great anti-adware tool --- both of these are also free. Try downloading these programs (all 3) and run them on your computer -- this will likely get your system running like normal. Once you have run these, run a disk cleanup and defragmenter to get everything into tip-top shape.

MY COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH TROJAN HORSE SHuer2.aqcw

You should have an antivirus program always running on your computer. If you have one it should be able to get rid of the virus. If you don't have one or you have one but it can't get rid of the virus, try AVAST. It is free at http://www.avast.com. Once you install avast, it will want to run a sweep before your computer restarts. That is the best way to get rid of a virus, before the virus is activated.

AVG free edition should do the trick, but the safest way to get rid of a virus is reformatting your hard drive.
