I need password to enten the computer is lock

I would like to introduce Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 . it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista and windows 7. It works perfectly to reset any local user account to a blank password. I Wrote it to an old 128mb USB flash drive do this. Booting up and clearing a password takes a minute or two works like a charm. You can download it from . It also supports cd/dvd

Hello there smohsin_p574.

Here's your geek-steer ...

Let me guess ...

You have just recently (or at least prior to this latest bootup attempt) performed a mechanical reset of the BIOS/CMOS password by either removing the motherboard battery, or (more likely) manipulating the JBAT reset jumper from pin position 1-2 to 2-3 ... right? Furthermore, you did this of course to reset a forgotten/lost password ... right?

If so, don't get out the panic button, you simply forgot to REPLACE the jumper back into the original 1-2 pin position. Don't feel bad ... it could happen to anyone, even me :)

Now read that message you computer is telling you ... makes much more sense now doesn't it?

I gotta know if I'm right on this one, so PLEASE do post back EITHER WAY ...
  • to let me (and interested others) know how things worked out,
  • to provide clarification or feedback,
  • if you have ANY further questions.

Clear pasword and boot block recovery problem

At the bottom of your motherboard there should be a 4 pin stand with a jumper on only two of the pins.Move the jumper to the remaining two pins and reboot.

To remove the bios password you need to clear the CMOS.
Open your laptop look at your motherboard. locate the CMOS jamper it is near the battery. To clear remove the jamper and turn your computer on with in 5 to 10 seconds and turn it off. Reinsert the jamper back to there proper place and try to turn go to BIOS if there will be a password box appear.

Good luck! Thanks for using fixya

I want to buy a computer at a pawn shop but the bios password is locked. is it easy to unlock?

Hello there :
if you first shut down the computer and remove the side panel and get to the cmos battery and remove it for 5 min than replace the battery and reboot the computer this will bypass the cmos password. than just go into bios and set your own password ok?
best regards mike
