Question about Hoover U6437-900 / U6439-900 Windtunnel Bagged Upright Vacuum
I have to take the handle off of the vacuum every other week to manually switch the internal on/off button to off. I there a problem with this switch or the mechanism that interacts with it? When I turn it off manually, it is significantly harder to turn it to OFF than it is to turn it to ON. Were there any recalls for this problem?
There was a recall from Hoover awhile back regarding the switch, On the model number tag is an 1-800 #, call it and have your model and serial number ready, they will tell you if you need repair from this recall. But if it is only 2 or 3 years old, then it isn't for your model. Otherwise just replace the switch.
