Will not turn on

If your dryer will not turn on 99percent of the time it is because the drum belt has broken.I know that sounds rediculous but the reason this is the cause is because there is a kill switch on the belts tensioner pulley and when the belt breaks the kill switch is activated.Replace the drum belt and your problem is solved

Simpson Maxidry Tumble dryer (Cloths dryer) How

Hi there, There is a switch at the bottom of the dryer. It has a groove for the spring to fit around. Then the spring goes through the metal tag with the holes in the pulley. The pulleys 2 prongs then fits into the slot near the motor. The belt goes through the pulley and around the motor wheel. When fitting the drum, tape the belt at three points on the drum with the machine door facing down making installation easier. Once installed remove the tape. The dryer now works like a dream. KENMORE SERIES 80 DRYER..The Tensioner use it or not and how?

To fit the new belt, you will need the idler pulley (tensioner)...

The idler pulley fits in the slots on the bottom of the cabinet (in front of the motor) with the wheel or glide facing the left side. Place the belt (grooves inward) around the drum. Pull the belt through the middle of the idler pulley from the left side. Once the belt is pulled through the idler pulley, pull it around the motor pulley (this should force the idler pulley to "open up" and add tension).

If you still need help, I will try to provide you with a diagram shortly.
Good luck!

I need to fit a new belt to a Creda Tumble Dryer

There should be some kind of tensioner around the motor or one of the pully's. The other problem could be that the belt you bought is the wrong one for your model. If you still have the old belt, measure the new belt against the old one and the new belt should be slightly smaller. I hope this info helps.

Fitting the belt to the hoover 5050ed

nope,, but
all dryers are generically the same
remove the front panel and door
pull the drum
loop the belt around the drum, at apporximately the wear marks of the old belt
reinsert the drum
loop the belt around the motor pulley
pull the tensioner pulley hard against the spring to the end of its travel
loop the belt around the tensioner pulley
allow the tensioner to move back under spring pressure to tension the belt
rotate the drum by hand to make sure the belt is aligned and not coing to jump off the pulleys
reinstall front panel & door
26740a0.jpg the tensioner may be on the bottom belt run pusshing up, or the top run pulling down
breaking belts sometimes pull the tensioner out of its mounts, there is only one place that the tensioner will reinstall.

Its a standard whirpool dryer, rebadged as hoover, so the local parts guy has the belts rollers felts and glides as necessary, they are common to all the dryers whirlpool makes.

Zanussi tumble dryer. no.TC7114W

loop the belt around the drum.
slide the belt down the drum directly over the motor pulley
loop the belt around the motor pulley
pull the tensioner pulley hard to the end of its travel against its spring
wrap the belt around the tensioner pulley
release the tensioner so the spring pulls it against the belt
rotate the drum by hand to ensure the belt is aligned and does not pull offf the pulleys
reassemble case
dry clothes
its easier than it looks seeing a broken belt in the bottom of the case.

Fitting tumble dryer drive belt

Looking from rear of dryer, one spring on motor is for tension, therefore put belt around drum(groove to the drum surface). Then rotate the motor firmly clockwise tensioning the spring, take belt from right of drum over tension wheel then put grooves of belt on shaft of motor.Release motor to tension spring, job done !!!!!
