Unplug the device from power cord, then press and hold the menu button.Plug back the device. On the LCD you'll see the "machine error" code.If this code is "machine error 40, 41 or 4f" the print head is defective. If the machine error is 46, this is the waste ink tank full. Then follow this procedure:

1. Pres 'menu', 'mono start' then'menu' one by one...
2. Press the arrow up or down to go to'maintenance 80'.
3. Press 'mono start' several times to go to'Purge'. Finding the PURGE will show some numeric value which is Iassume the number of times the printer had cleaned.
4. Press'arrow up' key and scroll for number "2" then press "set".Do the same for numbers 7, 8 and 3. After you have entered thiscombination, the purge numeric value will be reseted to 00000.

Paper misfeeding on one side but printer keeps printing with no paper

Look for any foriegn objects or old torn paper from an earlier jam. Something is either obstructing or mis-guiding the paper. If nothing is found, use a can of compressed air to blow thr paper intake area out, then test print again.

If still not solved, use a cottom swan soaked in alcohol to scrub clean the rubber paper pickup roller. Over time it gets slick from paper dust and the paper will notget grabbed evenly, causing it to skew as it's pulled in.
