Dark picture..not bright picture

The whole point of a webcam is to be able to see the person you are speaking with, and let them see you. When the image broadcasted by your camera is too dark, the person on the viewing end won't see anything but shadows and dark shapes. Learn how to brighten your webcam image so the people you chat with can see you.

Place lamps behind and to the side of the webcam. This casts a light on your face, but the lamps will not wash out the image because they are behind the camera. Turn off lamps that are behind you. You have trouble seeing things when you are looking in the direction of the sun or a light bulb. Your webcam has the same problems. Don't make it stare at a bright light. Open up a white screen on your computer to brighten your face. The white screen will create the brightest possible light from you computer screen and help lighten your webcam image. This option is best when lamps are not available. Open up an empty tab in your Internet browser, or a blank Notepad document, and expand it to the full of your screen. Adjust your webcam settings. The settings available to you will depend on your webcam, but many of them offer a "Brightness" setting that you can increase to lighten your webcam. Open the program that came with your webcam, then look for a "Settings" or "Options" menu. Increase the "Brightness" setting until it has lightened your webcam enough.

How to turn on the webcam in the LG laptop c500

All you need to do is to click on the ICON of the webcam and the image will turn on . If this is not seen then click on the left side corner for the program list and click on the webcam on the program list to send a desktop ICON . Now click and open. If not the drivers are not installed and so you will need to download the webcam drivers from the LG support website and the webcam will be installed.

My webcam is coming up very blue and fuzzy is there a way to fix that for the Toshiba satellite L655

Hello!
Webcams in general have very low resolution. But you can improve the appearance of your image with this little trick:
Before the webcam starts capturing, try pointing it to a light source, so when it starts it should receive enough light to provide a brighter image afterwards. You can take it off the light source when you see that the image improves and use it normally.
This happens because most webcams' drivers are programmed to display an image based on the initial light conditions. So if you start using it in a dark place, when you try to move to a brighter area, the image would look blue and fuzzy, as the webcam was adapted to those lightning conditions.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

We just bought a lenovo g470 laptop and the YouCam is very dark and dull. i tried adjusting the settings but the image and quality while chatting is still dark. how can i make the webcam image clear like...

Unfortunatelly this G470 core I3 comes with 0.3 mpx camera, instead 2 mpx of higher version with core i5, verify your version, if it comes on 0.3 mpx there is no much to do.

Dark screen with dull image in background

You may need to check your desktop image for your monitor and change it to something lighter
The external monitor usually uses your computer's default and not ncessarily the one from your laptop monitor

Without taking it apart myself, it could be some wiring from the laptop to the screen
