Question about Cell Phones
Well i bought a sciphone and it came with an 8GB micro SD card, but the phone then broke so i tried putting the sd card into my older phone but my older phone doesn't recogonise it. it says when i take the sd card out. ''memory card out'' but when i put it in it has nothing.
An 8GB micro SD card will actually be a micro SDHC card. Older SD devices care incompatible at the basic hardware level with the SDHC specification: they can only use standard SD variants. In theory that means a micro SD up to 4GB but in practice I've found very few pre-SDHC devices which will reliably handle more than 2GB SD cards without a firmware update.
I hope that this answers your question and ask in return only that you take a moment to rate my answer.
If it hasn't, then please add a comment with the exact make and model of the older phone and also of the 8GB micro-SD card and I'll investigate further before posting a reply for you.
