I have the same prob, i really need to know. The laptops are provided to do wrok but most of the useful websites are blocked and its annoying. Some1 pls tell us somthing to unblock it.

It is most likely that the blocking is being done by the Internet service provided, rather than locally to your laptop. This is because the laptop is given to you by your school for you to do WORK on, not have fun!

To unblock all messenger related services, try to use KarooLark web messenger: http://karoolark.com/ , which supports web MSN, web Gtalk, web AIM, web Facebook Chat and web Yahoo! Messenger.

Done via the blue coat proxy client, rather than the Internet provided it self.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: proxy for DET filter/blocks
You'll very rarely find Proxy/unblockers sites that are unblocked.
If you find a website that's meant to be blocked, but isn't blocked yet, it'll soon be blocked!
A few months ago, my friends found a website that'll let you go on any website, Facebook, Myspace, & Redtube, but within a week of the website being constantly used, it was eventually blocked! :(
What you need is a teacher's net account, or a tafe account.

Your computer's restrictions to the internet are due to a "Proxy" setting which is located under the tools tab in internet explorer. (Tools, Internet Options, Connection, Lan Settings) If you get the proxy address, you can enter it under "Use a Proxy server for your lan......" Make sure this box is checked.
