Question about Xerox Phaser 8500/DN Printer

Xerox 8560n printer not initializing...blank LCD and a series of beeps. Sounds like it's bogging down just before the beeps. Printer doesn't respond to web access to get status.

    ...found references to this problem "Support for Control Panel Display is Blank" at Xerox www.support.xerox.com which recommends checking power line quality, a reset procedure after brown-outs and storms, and a check of the wiring to the control panel. Did those. No change. Next will be a call to customer support (24x7)...

It may be a bad display, which can cause or hide errors.

If strange and unlogical things happen like this, it might be an electronics lockup.
Sometimes it will help to do a factory reset of do the diagnostics.

To go to diagnostics mode:
Hold down the back and help button as the Xerox logo moves towards the center.
The machine will eventually say 'Rebooting in diagnostics'.

From there you can run more testing.
(Be patient the machine takes a while to enter diagnostic mode).

Xerox printer 8560n won't print


First download and install printer's driver ..click here Select your operating system and language. Next try to print the configuration page ..--> Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panelto select [Printer Setup] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK]button. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select[Configuration Page], and then press the [OK] button to print. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Exit], andthen press the [OK] button to return to the Main Menu.

I recently installed windows 7 and my phaser 8560N will not print, the printer keeps telling me to add paper but the tray is full?


Sometimes the sensors need to be woke up. Try the -paper feed- setting. If that does not work turn off the printer and re-boot your computer. Turn the printer on.

Phaser 8560N prints multiple pages when powered on


This was due to the TFTP (PXE) setting on the printer set to on. No more wasted paper at startup/wakeup after changing setting to off.

I am trying to print a document in Word and my Phaser 8560 will print it, but there is a blank section on the page (approximately 4 inches wide running down the middle of the page) where the text did not...


Did the document print in full even though it left blank spaces? I f so the problem is The Page Break Occurred before it actually reached the end of the paper. Check what paper is selected on the printer. I don't mean the tray or paper feeder.
On the LCD screen on the printer go through the menu till you find the paper. Make sure the paper is set to A4 or Letter (whatever you normally use.) and make sure this setting matches with the paper select in the documenent.
Check File ->Print ->Settings or Options .... Find out where the paper is mentioned and select A4 or Letter as the case may be.

Please can you advise why the screen goes blank on the control panel on my Xerox Phaser 8560N


Usually this problem means that the control panel is not fuctioning properly. You have to switch the control panel and that will fix your problem. First you can try to call Xerox at 1-800 635 8100 and if your lucky they will replace it with a new one for FREE.

Hi,

Can you try this.
Switch off and switch on the printer
Hold the back and help buttons
Go to service mode.
Scroll down to the function menu
Scoll to clear isc fault
Hit the back button to get back to the first menu then exit diagnostics,

Xerox Phaser 8560n 07,009,42:0 error.


Hi oconde:
This is your problem.
7,009.42: The printhead is tilted back but not properly restrained in the park arms.

This will require a certified Xerox technician to repair.
