Use the alternative. Obtain a card reader and insert it into the reader which in turn is connected to the USB port
Generally the USB should be recognised, but there is quite often this problem due to different levels of USB ( 1 and 2)

Pls. try in an alt. input or computer.
If this doesn't work your USB cable might be faulty and you will need to contact KODAK for a replacement.
