Hi,
I am looking to buy a home Minidisc deck and am thinking of getting the Sony
MDS-JE480/B. I have found it for a reasonable price on Amazon, and was
curious if anyone had any experience with it and could give their opinions.
Thanks,

Other than not being HiMD and not having a digital out, it is just fine.
Are you sure Amazon has them in stock? I've ordered them twice and both
times it took more than a month to come in.

This is not a problem for me -- my portable is not a HiMD device either.
Amazon reported a couple in stock I think but didn't say about a delivery
time. I may be able to get one off a colleague though so even this is not
an issue. Thanks for your opinion :)

I've also found the Program Play facility overly confusing! If you want to
set your own play list on this model, it takes a lot of steps to get there,
and you can't really double check what's coming next once your playing it!
I use this model to play backing tracks on stage, and I'll be looking for a
different model soon, if I can't get to grips with this ;-)
