Hi there, have you assigned the different inputs to the receiver yet? On page 55 of your manual, please turn to it and follow that setup under input menu. You need to assign what audio inputs go with what setting. Try this, and if you still have no luck? I will write a step-by-step for you

Cheers,
Turk

I have a Zeki Quad core model no.TBQG774B . I having trouble with it freezing up and now I can't get it to come on ....

your stereo either needs hdmi pass turu or a digital coaxial (spdif, non-fiber optic) input.

with pass thru, the reciever can decide which of several signals goes to stereo's hdmi out to the tv's active hdmi input.

if your reciever has no hdmi, you can use coaxial cable (standard rca-type connections), and this takes the receivers manual, and, likely, remote.

if you have neither of the above available, there other ways will not give satisfactory results

How do we connect our system using a Shaw PVR

Do you have a optical/coaxial input on your system? Eg: cable, TV.I use a optical input on my Yamaha ( cable, satellite ). Look to see if there is a optical/coaxial output on your pvr, there should be. Use ether the optical or coaxial output from your pvr and connect it to the cable (satellite ) optical/coaxial input on your receiver. The manual that came with your Shaw PVR should explain how. You will get 5.1 surround if available on certain channels.I prefer optical over coaxial myself, but they both work well.If you don't have optical/coaxial inputs on your receiver, you will have to use RCA cables, analogue out on cable box, to tape input or aux on your receiver. You will not get surround sound, just stereo. But it's better than nothing.

Hi. I write from spain. I have the blu-ray LG

Have you tried the another optical cable? They don't tolerate dirty connections or small-radius bends in their routing. THAT (and the expense of optical cables) is why I always choose coaxial connections when possible.

Rx 2700 dts keeps flickering on and off causing

Your symptom sounds like a poor digital connection. The receiver is probably configured to prefer the digital feed if both digital and analog are present from a given source. That it blinks the 'analog' indicator means it thinks the digital signal is degraded.

I believe you're using HDMI. If your cable box has either optical or coaxial digital outputs, try one or both and proceed from there. You could also certify the health of the receiver input that's failing by connecting another device (your Blu-Ray?) to it to test it out, or simply borrow its cable.

If the input works with another device THAT would indicate a problem upstream and external from the receiver - cable, output of the cable box. Optical cables are more finicky than coaxial and do not tolerate being routed in tight radious bends.

DTS isn't Dolby. Read up on it here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DTS_(sound_system)

Is there any way i can hook upo my 360 to this system ? ( Philips DivX Ultra Home theatre system)

Hi,

I'm guessing you're asking about the audio specifically?

Xbox 360 has a digital optical output so your system would have to have digital optical inputs for the Audio to be plugged.

A coaxial digital input (as seen on some Philips Cinema Systems) would not work unless you use something to convert it.

Here is a link to such a convertor:

Hope that helps.

We have a cable box, rca reciever, a dvd and a non digital tv. Does the reciever need input from cable box, dvd and tv?? is red, yellow and white audio/video enough to connect or is a S-cable or optical...

From your cable box, send "optical" to the receiver. From the DVD send "coaxial digital" (looks like one rca cable" if your receiver has it, if not, optical is fine as well. There is no reason to send audio from the TV to the receiver unless you are using an "off-air antenna". If you want to have audio from the cable box to the TV for listening to TV speakers only, send an audio video cable (red/white/yellow) direct to TV. If you need more help just post a comment and I can help you some more.

BA7500g speakers won't work with my mac

I have the same problem except i'm using a macbook and i'm trying to connect the speakers. My macbok accommodates optical digital audio output, but you have to buy a  a standard toslink cable with a toslink mini-plug adapter.  Since the speaker input is a digital coaxial (not fiber, optical) you have to buy a Digital Fiber Optical (Toslink) to Digital Coaxial (S/PDIF) Converter.  good luck. hope this helps

Optical Audio Connection

My only thought is to make sure there are no protective covers over the ends of the optic cable. They often come with plastic caps. Either that or you have a bad optic cable if neither the DVD or DVR work with that cable. Good luck!
