First the receiver red light was on constantly so i changed the batteries and now it's not lit at all?

Make sure the new batteries are installed properly.

If they are installed properly, then replace them AGAIN with new batteries. The new ones you put in may be faulty.

Do not assume that "new: batteries are good. Some Dipsh&t at the grocery store where you bought them may have dropped them on the floor six months ago, and broke the 'internals' (the "innerds").

Verify they work by installing them in another device, like the TV remote or such.

Clean the metal thingies where the batteries go in. Clean the ends of the batteries.

Really. Gadgets (remote control units) sometimes respond to a bit 'o banging around, I am not kidding here. Cussing is optional.

Take the batteries out, push ALL the buttons a few times, and then replace the batteries again.

Good luck, have fun.

(Oh: and make sure the batteries in the RECIEVER are fresh, too!)

Yeah, there are likely batteries in the "other end" of the gadget, also.

Bang the remote on the table, and cuss at it a bit. It is much more rewarding when done in such fashion.

Trust me: this has been frustrating enough that you posted the question online. Get your "money's worth" out of the solution.

Good luck, and have fun!

RCA Stav-3880 turn stereo on goes to full volumn

Take the batteries out of the remote control, then apply a piece of black tape over the IR sensor, Unplug the power, wait a few minutes, now power the unit back up, does the unit still have the same volume high symptom? If so, remove the tape and see if the unit responds to any other commands(other than volume) from the front panel. If it responds to the panel controls, the processor is most likely good. very seldom is the IR transistor bad, if it is no input command will work.

Before you rush out to by a new hand held remote, Check the battery to make sure it' s facing the right direction. Also, wipe off the receivers sensor, on the front of the AC unit, as dust and dirt can block it from receiving the infrared signal, If you do end up having to replace it, you can buy just the hand held remote transmitter, that's all you'll need to purchase. It will come with instructions on how to program to your existing receiver. You can probably get one from the manufacturer of your AC unit. Be sure to have the correct Model Number of your AC unit when you do.

Hope this helped you, Mary Alice. Please let me know. Thanks.

Wall unit not picking up remote signal.model ah-a249j air con unit.thankyou

James. if you haven't replaced the batteries in the hand held remote, that's the first place to start troubleshooting the problem. Make sure the new batteries are facing the proper direction, when you install them. Also, check the photo electric cell receiver in the AC unit. It may be dirty and can not clearly receive the signal. or you may be to far away from the unit.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

My remote dosen't seem to come up with the option for heating anymore, but it did previously.. can i do anything to fix this?

If you haven't already, try changing the batteries in the hand held remote. Be sure you install new, fresh batteries out of a dated package and that the batteries are installed properly (i.e. facing the right direction).

Hope this helped you solve the problem.

2)Remote thermo-hygrometer sensor could be weak in sending the signal about weather Forecast.Test it properly.

3)Reset the unit and check

make sure the sensor bar is plugged in and oriented properly. If thats all ok I would be inclined to believe its the sensor bar, but you might try nintendo customer support before you go out and buy one.

The unit doesn't respond to the remote. If I unplug it, it seems to reset. Sometimes it will not even respond to the power button on the unit itself.

9 times out of ten its the remote being the issue here try replacing the batteries ir cleaning the front where the remote sensor is that may help it. If you try-ed resetting the remote and still have issues this the remote will need to be replaced.

Thanks and do please click the accept button for my efforts.
