Even MSIs SATA drivers didn't help becasue their so-called SATA/RAID driver floppy doesn't include SATA drivers. X(
Here's how I got around the problem. Ridiculous solution but it worked.
You'll need: 1) an IDE drive 2) a copy of Norton Ghost or other drive ghosting utility. 3) another computer that's working.
Here goes. 1) Take out the SATA drive. 2) Install the IDE drive 3) Install windows as if you were using the IDE drive. 4) after the installation can boot or after all the updating is done ( up to you) take out the IDE drive 5) Ghost the IDE drive 6) Install the ghosted image to the SATA drive. 7) Install the SATA drive
The motherboard has no problem BOOTING from a SATA drive with the firmware that came to it, but it wont recognize until after POST, so you can't install windows on it >=(
Anyway those steps will work, assuming you have a computer and an IDE drive laying around.

Sir, I have a Intel 945GCM-S+ICH7 Chipsets Motherboard. I am facing a problem since from last 4 months that whenever I insert any data storage device(like Pen Drive, iPod etc), my windows suddenly crashes. I am using Windows XP SP3. I have tried many solutions but my problem still persist. I have reinstalled the windows, and many more things I have performed but nothing happens. I think its the problem with motherboard. What should I do for this? Please Help me :(

Early Chipset initialization comes on on the D-link. I replaced the the Pwr supply as it was bad but still get same issue. Previously I formatted the dive and reloaded XP...My memory is fine as I tested both modules. This is a 754 socket with AMD 3700+ CPU...Machine will boot, post and windows will come up then the machine will reboot and windos won't come up because it's hung at Early chipset inilization. I wanted to reformate the drive but when I boot from the CD I get an error code and the machine crashed. Didn't write down the error code and I am running some diagnostic s/w now. Do you think the board is bad? I also loaded the MB drives after Win XP was loaded. this loaded the ethernet drivers so I could get to the internet
i want motherboard drivers beouse i dont have a motherboard cd
