Can you back out of this update? Using the Restore function in Windows, at Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore and choose a date prior to the date you installed the bad update.

Please remove all updates from beginning and then re-install these updates.
Also re-boot the system from OS-disk.
You will surely get rid of this problem.
