Well, make sure that the output level on your head unit is up, and also try adjusting the gain NEVER EVER PUT IT ON FULL GAIN BECAUSE THAT WILL CLIP THE AMP AND MAY BLOW AMP AND/OR SUB!!!

Subwoofer makes noise like an untuned TV regardless of volume knob

I would suggest your crossover unit has failed in the speaker cabinet. The crossover circuit board separates the low and high frequency content of your stereos audio signal. The low frequencies go to the bass unit (woofer) and the high frequencies go to the tweeter speaker. If the capacitor on the crossover goes open or near open circuit then noise is introduced into the sound system. Replace either the capacitor or crossover unit.

Sub static at low volume fine at high volume

Prob always there just can't hear it at higher volumes. Check the grounds of the amps an the Caps if you have them. Then check the preamp wires from the head unti to the amp. Keep it as shielded from power wires as you can. Some times tying a ground from the amp back to the head unit ground can fix a hiss or static

Amp wont play

Quick test...with your Lanzar volume all the way down, connect MP3 player or other type audio source directly to the subwoofer input connection. Play audio and slowly increase volume control. If subwoofer is working using this method, reconnect and check for audio output to Lanzer connection problem, or subwoofer "settings" issues with the receiver.

Subwoofer powers on ok, volume level stays at mid to high range. Adjustment on back has no effect or distorts sound a bit please help

If you have plugged the input to the LFE socket the volume control may not have any effect coz' its ment to be controlled by the AV receiver in this mode. Connect to the L/R scoket ( any one will do ).

My subwoofer sometimes turns on and sometimes it don't. I've noticed that when i disconnect the power cord from the wall and connect it back the light/volume doesn't turn on. Also when i turn the amp too...

Subwoofers produce very high levels of vibration due to the intensity of their job. But the problem you are facing is a problem with the power pack. The power pack on the woofer is not supplying properly therefore the light/volume not coming on when the unit is unplugged and replugged. This also affects the woofer when you turn the amp to high because as a result of the power coming from the amp not being properly distributed instead of the power which flows into the woofer from the amp is not distributed accordingly it could blow the woofer so before it gets to that stage the unit shuts down.
All you have to do is get an expert to help you get and replace the power pack.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

My subwoofer keeps making a clunking noise...How do I correct this problem?

The clunking noise could be the voice coil maxing out hitting its stop or a warped voice coil. How much power is going to the subwoofer. If it only happens when the high volume setting it and not at medium volume the subwoofer may not be able to handle the power. With your hand gently push the speaker cone back and release the cone so it can return to its rest state several times. Do you hear a scratching sound or feel any resistance? If you do your voice coil is damaged if not from physical means it could be from the voice coil overheating. If it is OK shake and rap on the subwoofer box and try to identify any loose parts which could be making noise.

No sound and I have checked the cable. Is there a reset or a way to check and see if unit is getting power

Subwoofers are hard working speakers, it consumes more power than the satellite speakers, chances are it's easily get busted on high volume. Try to open and check the voice coil for continuity. see if you can repair it or replace
