If iam not wrong you want to replace the Ink Cartridge. Please follow the below mentioned instruction.

Replacing the print cartridges

  1. Turn on the HP Officejet, and lift open the print-carriage access door. The print carriage will move into the access area. Figure 1: Opening the print-carriage access doorhow do i change ink? - c00034766.jpg
  2. After the carriage stops moving, push down on the top of the print cartridge to release it, and then pull it toward you out of the slot. Figure 2: Removing the print cartridgec00034767.jpg NOTE: It is normal to see ink buildup in the print cartridge slots.
  3. Remove the new print cartridge from the packaging and gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab. CAUTION: Do not touch the copper contacts or ink nozzles. Install the cartridge immediately upon removing the tape to prevent ink from drying in the nozzles. Figure 3: Removing the plastic tapec00034768.jpg
  4. Push the new print cartridge into the appropriate slot at a slight angle, until it clicks into place. CAUTION: Do not attempt to push the cartridge straight into the slot. It must slide in at a slight angle. Figure 4: Inserting the print cartridghow do i change ink? - c00034769.jpg="http://i.fixya.net/uploads/images/c00034769.jpg" alt="c00034769.jpg" class="h_mi" />
  5. Close the print-carriage access door.
Back to top Aligning the print cartridges The HP Officejet will prompt you to align the print cartridges every time you install a new print cartridge to assure high-quality output.
  1. When the message displays, press OK . The HP Officejet will print an alignment page.
  2. Place the alignment page face down on the left front corner of the glass with the top of the page facing the left side.
  3. Press OK . The HP Officejet will align the print cartridges and display Alignment Complete .

It ran out of ink, when I replaced the ink cartridge it will not print any more.

It is possible that your new ink cartridge is bad, but it is more likely that your jets on your printer are clogged - and that is preventing the ink from hitting the paper.

You can purchase an ink jet cleaning kit from your local office supply store and try that.

Also, if there is an available ink head replacement kit for your printer, it might be beneficial to go ahead and change that out now too.

Hope this helps!

Changing Cartirage

It should not come all the way out. Just till it stops, then the new cartridge locks onto the top of the hopper. Once you have pulled out the shutter, the toner falls into the hopper. Pushing tghe shutter closed causes the cartridge to pop up in the front so it can then be removed and thrown away, the cartridge does not stay in the machine.

Internall error is there a fix for this or am i just wasting my time by looking for a fix please respond

Hi Rayray,

The solution for your printer is that you re-install your printer drivers this should solve your problem. You can also try to take the ink cartirage out and give the cartirage head a wipe with a tissue. I hopr this helps you.
