Re: plugged to computer

Yes you can it has an audo cable that plugs right into your laptop. Depending on your sound car in your laptop, you might get 2 of the speakers working, because your audio card might not support audio 5.1. Which means, you have 5 speakers, but your audio card might only supprt 2 speakers, because its a 2.1 which is standard in a lot of laptops.

I just bought a logitech 5.1 x-540 for my uncle. It worked fine; but just last week, when my uncle turned on the speaker, there was no power (the green light on the speaker didn't turn on). I tried to plug...

Could there be an electrical short in the speakers line?Could you return them for a refund? Also did the speakers come with the logitech computer system? Have the speaker system bench tested. Then go out and buy a new pair.

How to connect logitech X-540 to LG 42

Hi, You should have an Audio outpout RCA behind your TV. Plug it 2 RAC then the cables to an RCA/ 3 mini JACK adapter. Plug the 3 mini jack to the X-540. You have your audio output settled up on your X-540. Thanks and have a nice day !

I have the logitech x-540 5.1 speaker system, do i need an adapter to plug in to my macbook and iPod? so I am able to have hear all 5 speakers together?

Yes, you do, the adapter has 1 green end, which gets plugged into your computer and then the other end has 3 connectors, green, yellow, and black, which then goes into one thick cable. I have the set up right now.

Connecting Logitech X-540 speaker system

Most newer TVs have a set of audio output jacks (red/white). All you need is an adapter like this to plug into those audio output jacks, then plug the speakers into the adapter and you'll be good!

Sony vaio monitor with internal speakers

There should be an audio cable coming out of Monitor, you'll need to plug that cable in the ouput jack of sound card, turn on/increase the volume of the speakers using the switch, slider present on the monitor and then check. you may also consult the manual that came along with the monitor.

X-540 speakers no sound

to philipyork: the speakers never will be detected in your pc, the hardware (plug and play) is the only detected for the computer, if u have a message saying no device sound then will be the audio card.

to rocker: check the cable, the volume in the pc.
