Your USb is infected by the virus. and it came from your computer... you should first troubleshoot you PC first... try to run combofix into your computer. download that sfotware in the internet by typing it in your browser the word combofix. after downloading paste it into your desktop and run it... please follow the instructions appear in your screen...

after your pc is free from viruses update your anti virus befoire scanning and inserting your USB. these rely how good your installed anti-virus in your system....

once you have renamed a corrupt file , all your data will be forever lost, no way to retrieve them, unless you have back up copies of those files.

My Kingston DataTraveler G3 8GB USB 2.0 USB Flash Drive (White/Yellow)'s data all got corrupted, and i a cannot do anything [copying, pasting, renaming, moving, etc.] with the corrupted files/data

Get data back is a file recovery program for flash drives, it may work for this, but if the files are corrupt you would then be recovering corrupt files.

In my pc when i insert a pendrive the data in it is not copying into my pc it shows file is corrupted but in it there is no virus.the pen drive is recognized and it shows the data but during copying to pc...

If the pen does that in all pc's then the data is truly corrupted and nothing you can do will fix that. Format the pen, put more data on it and try to read it. If the corrupt message appears again then the pen is dead, junk it.

Once transferred the data to the USB, it shows its correpted.

I recommend that you re-format the drive/device in the system you intend to use it in most.

If you format in the NT mode then your Windows 98 etc will not be able to read the data... this MAY be your problem?

If you are using NT see if it gives you the option to format in 32 bit mode? You MAY be able to use it with both operating systems then.

Hope this helps!

File copy error.

maybe your drive is already full, if your drive is already full try to delete the temp file or delete your unnecessary files, if not try to check the file that you are trying to copy, maybe there some associate file which have a long file name, try to rename it but copy first the original file name to notepad, and after copying rename again your file that you renamed before, if still not tell us what kind of file you want to copy.

WINDOWS OFFICE FILE RENAME PROB.

When you rename a word file you need to keep the .doc file extension for it to open again in word. .xls for excel etc.

You may not have the file options visible in windows explorer. Go to tools > folder options > view and untick "hide file extensions for known file types.

If you mess it up you can open via windows explorer. Right click the file and choose openwith and select the appropriate program.
