If you are hearing clicking noises with the message you received, your hard drive is near mechanical failure. If youre tech savvy, you can replace the hard drive and reinstall the operating system (or use the recovery cds or dvds you were asked to create when you first set up the computer). If youre not adventurous, youll need tech help for this. Head to your local computer repair shop. Expect to spend at least $200.
The clicking sound is most likely the "Click of Death" an indicator of a failed hard disk drive. The drive is having a hardware malfunction and the read/write armature in the drive is moving back and forth against the internal stops (this gives the click)
