Question about Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST380011A 80 GB Hard Drive
Hi I have a 40 GB seagate hdd which was detected by bios but was not working, so i used seagate hdd utility and used zero fill option. now the serial number is missing. is there any way i put back the serial number. pls help.....
The volume serial number is automatically generated when you format the drive. By using the Seagate utility to zero fill the drive, you have made it blank and destroyed all data, including the partition table and filesystem. Re-partition and re-format the drive.
