Sorry, but it's a Japanese-only unit and it cannot be converted. Kenwood never produced an export version. It's not just a case of reprogramming; it would need completely new firmware as well and depending on the country you're in the radio reception frequencies are all wrong as well (but that can easily be fixed). Even the DVD region coding is hard set and cannot be changed.
I had a pile of them in my back room which came from Japanese used car imports and the only thing I was able to do with them was to sell them back to a Japanese dealer for little more than the costs of listing and shipping them.
