I run scans on my computer every day but McAfee pops up and says that my computer is at high risk for having a virus. I have Trend MicroVirus on my laptop already and I don't want to have to buy McAfee. What do I do?

If your computer is at high risk for having a virus then you need to have anti-virus that is powerful to work.If you don't want to buy then you can try to have AVIRA that can be downloaded on their website www.avira.com for a trial version for a year. Make sure to do updates of it so that it can able to eliminate latest viruses on the internet. One other software that I can suggest for you to have is "superantispyware" to eliminate unneccessary spyware, trojan and worms of your computer. This can be downloaded also for free on this link www.superantispyware.com.

Hope these helps. Thank you.

Yes, astro_boy is right. But having antivirus and antispyware applications don't do any conflicts. 99.9% of the antivirus will not allow another one antivirus to be installed on the computer. If you have antivirus installed already and when installing a new one it ask you to remove or uninstall the previous software. There it doesn't create any conflicts. Thank you.

U have to choose which anti virus you want to use. Y? because having more than 1 anti-virus in your PC will result to slow in operation of your PC and conflict in your anti-virus. you have to uninstall one of your installed anti-virus. hope this would work for you

It's a high risk site:
dsnextgen.com red-xbg2.gif

McAfee TrustedSource web reputation analysis found potential security risks with this site. Use with extreme caution.

I would run a good anti-virus on your machine, and then run a malware scan. Both of these can be got for free. (Anti-virus I recommend Avast, and malware scan, I recommend Malwarebytes Anti-Malware). Both of these are available free from Download.com

Trend micro security system just reported high risk spyware "SPYW VIRTUMONDE" found on computer. suggests "get help" which does not lead to solution. neither do other suggestions i.e. remove, delete etc....

You may call Trend Micro's tech support any time day or night without charge. I would suggest you do that.

You can click on the help & support menu item. Get the number to call.
I have used their help before and am pleased with the outcome.

Dell Computer; Have possible virus listed as high risk in compressed file

That is in a system restore point. I would delete that restore point, but before you do you need to run a virus scan and make sure you get any that are on your system now, then create a new system restore point. If you go to the system restore area in your Help & Support section of the computer you will find the option to delete restore points and create them.

Try making a full system scan. At the end it should give you a list of all the security risks that were found on your computer.

Tell me if you need further clarifications. Thank You!
