Camera is stuck on memory full

I took my memory card out of my camera without saving the pictures to it, and I put the memory card back in the camera and now it's stuck on memory full and it won't let me take any pictures. What am I to do?

I have a Nikon D5300. I can see the photo count number increasing, but I cannot view the images and they are not going on the SD card. Where are they? The SD card is not full.

many small Nikon cameras have memory to store images ON THE CAMERA. If you have a memory card installed that the CAMERA CAN READ it will put images on the card. if the memory card is corrupted the camera will not use it.

First Backup all IMAGES on Memory Card to COMPUTER make sure you saved ALL images. This is IMPORTANT.

After you SAVED all images you PUT Memory card back in camera and FORMAT it (Format is in TOOL Menu that looks like a wrench)

Now if you can take an images and it saves to memory card you are done. To see if they go to MEMORY CARD. Turn off camera and remove MEMORY CARD and Check.

If it STILL does not work you may have a defective memory card.

Put the memory stick inside the camera. Then open the photos which is save in your camera memory. Select them all & then you find a option Send to memory card or copy to memory card. Select that and press ok. Your photos transfer from camera memory to memory stick.

I changed the memory settings to save pictures on the phone memory. I was then able to save the picture taken. I then turned the phone off removed the memory card and put it back in. I turned the phone on and changed themeory settings back to saving the picture on the card. I took a picture and was able to save it. The pictures were viewable on the camera.

I can't get to my pictures!

did you buy a memory card along with your camera? I got the camera and they threw in a memory card with it for free. I now know why. My pictures will not always save onto this memory card. i took the memory card out of my old camera and put it in this one, and, the pictures saved. strangely, when i put my new card back in my new camera and took a picture; it saved to it again!
so i believe this could work for you. it sucks. you lose the pictures. but atleast the camera does not have to just be thrown away.
