Question about Microsoft Xbox Console
If its chipped you can get a program that switches the region from NTSC to PAL, the machine is more than likely in NTSC mode
however if its not chipped it could be the scart is faulty, try a different scart lead. if its still the same try putting the scart into a different input (scart) on the tv itself. some tv's dont support 50/60hz properly and will play in b&w in those situations.
