I have a sylvania 37 in flat screen that will not come on.

I have had this set for just over a year. The stand by red light does not come on, no picture, no sound, no life, no nothing. What is going on?

How to remove a sylvania tv stand

From the bottom there should be a couple of screws to hold the base on. If they are not there then you need to remove the concealment panel at the base where the stand goes in. Once that is off you will see 3 or 4 screws holding it on.

Hello; I am John at J. D. Electronics, Poland Maine. This problem is usually caused by defective inverter transformers. These sets are made by Funai Corp. I have now replaced 100's of these. They are about $5 each and most sets have 5 to 8 of them. Replace them ALL at once. There are many other problems I have found that require replacing whole PCB's , so this is only a guess. John

37'' LG lcd tv, no power

I just want to clear things here.
The stand by light will remain on whenever the tv set is turned on by a button on the side of the tv.

Then use your remote to turn on the tv, but wait as it can take 10secs before you get a picture.
