Still trying to instal Zoo Tycoon 2

Hi,
could you please tell what error message or any other problem it shows?

I'm having this same problem- but mine started doing this AFTER I played it for 4 years!! I closed my laptop lid for a week, and I "Continued With System Resume" and now it wont work! I've tried all the **** people have told me to do- so I just deleted a;ll my mods that I put into the game...and now I'm re-install the game..again.

Try uninstalling the game then reinstalling.Sounds like a corrupt install.

Also be sure your sound and video drivers are updated on your pc.

Are you sure that it is compatible with the version of windows you are using? Check that first.

try the steps below:

• Click the start button
• Click Control Panel
• Click the icon for Programs and Features
• Look for the link on the left side of the page with the colored shield that says “Turn Windows Features On or Off” and click it
• Click continue when prompted for permission
• Check the box beside the folder labeled Games
• Click OK and the installation of the games folder will be started.

Zoo Tycoon has several problems with windows XP after SP2

Uninstall completely...

Reinstall... RESTART AFTER INSTALLING

If your DISC does not have a UBISOFT logo on it, download and install the patch from 

http://zootycoon.com/Downloads/patches.htm

If it DOES you do not need to download it as you already have it and installed it when you installed the game.

If the game does not run try rightclick>properties. Compatability tab, set compatability mode for: Windows 98.

My own copy of zoo tycoon had a weird glitch where you could only run it after you restarted the computer... and if you closed it when you were done playing you would have to restart it (the computer) to play again.

Right click on the game icon, select properties and select the compatibility tab. From there check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" box and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2). It might be good to also check "Disable visual themes" and "Disable desktop composition" Hope it helps.
