Re: MDA speaker sounds blown.

Sometimes the speakers just blow. if it is an effect of some sort of 3rd party download, try to wipe it clean by goign to start, settings, system, clear storage. (backup your info first, it will delete everything.) if that faiils, contact your service provider or HTC for an exchange

Speaker for Speakerphone Broken? Where/How to fix?

It is clear that your speakerphone (which we call ringer) is not functioning, there it's not a big problem, you can fix it if you know how to open these kinds of gadgets, but i don't recommend, just go to a mobile repairing shop and tell them the problem, they fix it by replacing the ringer for you. They will charge you for the new ringer and for servicing, but be careful since there're many technicians who just want to charge very high amount without much condition but telling this and that.. so I recommend you to visit the shop you know before or your friend knows.. Good luck.

My normal speaker function doesn't want to work now. I hit the mute button and the phone goes to standby mode-hit it again and it's off standby. when I make a call now I have to use speakerphone function...

In this case you need contact your Handheld vender to check the Hardware of your Handheld speaker.
I hope I was able to help you.
Thank you for using Fixya.

Ringer and speakerphone not working

a lot of the system volumes were put back to default. I only realized this when I downloaded the "Audio Manager Widget". Then I found that I apparently missed a couple volume settings.
also It might be due to the In-Call volume. The only time you can adjust the In-Call volume is when you're in a call (duh!). So, I called my voicemail and put it on speakerphone just left it all the way up and now I can hear the dialpad tones again!
also I think it was swapping from vibrate to full volume when I received an SMS (or was doing multiple things at once).
All sound stopped working on the device. It's an Dream from Optus.
try a quick reboot.. that shud fix all the problems though

if all the above moethod fails... its time to call the manufacturer....

good luck

HTC Touch

Hi, Use the speakerphone, or earphones, if it sounds that means that the internal speaker is broken, you can buy it for a couple of bucks, but is not very easy to change, so maybe you'll need some help with that.

No sound is comming out of the speakerphone

The same thing happened to my phone. All I did was take it apart. (this is a last resort of course because it will void any warranty you have then again i dont know how they would ever be able to tell since you don't break any "seals") Checked the connection of the speakers and they weren't connecting from the mother board to the speaker bent them back and haven't had a problem since. It probably happened when I dropped it I'm sure you have never dropped your phone before. ;) Also one more thing make sure that the two connectors from the mother board don't touch eachother or it will void the connection again. By the way in case you are really scared youtube has videos on how to take it apart step by step super easy.
