How to install a new operating system on my hp

First of all, this HP notebook is design best for Windows98 and Windows2000, so u must make sure which OS that u need to install into your system, u may also try WindowsXP if your system fulfill the requirement to support XP (refer to the XP requirement here). Cause now i don think u can get the Windows98 or Windows2000 genuine installer at any shop nowadays.

After u decide which OS u want then just put in the CD in your CD-ROM and follow the instruction on screen. Please backup all the data u need to a safe place before do this. Of course u also need to set your BIOS to boot CD 1st at computer start.
