You will have to set the spooler settings and then check out
to set the spooler settings follow this steps as follows:---
to make spooling work its necessary to make it work
this is the procedure .if you do this it will work properly. till it is not done it will just ignore printing
1)click the start in the left side of your computer screen
2)go to control panel
3)click performance and maintenance
4)click system
5)click data execution prevention
6)turn on DEP for essential windows program and services only.
7)click the spooling services a tick mark sign will appear beside that means it has enabled.
now your printer will work properly.
---------------

but after setting the spooler setting if it does the same thing then try this
1)right click the my computer icon
2)click properties and then click hardware n go to device manager.
3)uninstall all usb ports and then scan for hardware changes
4)ur pc will detect your printer and ask for printer drivers
5)re load drivers and your pc will communicate with your printer
6)for reloading install the cd follow the instructions on the screen and click next
7)restart when the printer is loaded.connect the wires and cords properly.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution if helped.thank you for using fixya.

If the printer head moves like it is printing , but printout is blank, and cartridge are full, then printhead is bad , return printer.
If instead the page goes straight through without printing, or does not even load, then it is a data problem , check data cable and reinstall software.
Test a different USB cable.
Try downloading and installing the latest drivers from Dell website.
Here :Dell - Drivers and Downloads.
After downloading , run installer. Start driver setup with printer USB not connected, connect at the end or when asked by setup.

If the test page is printing OK, ensure that the printer is set as default printer.

To set as default printer, go to Printers in Control Panel, find the right printer, click right hand button of mouse and chose set as default.

Try also printing from different programs. It may depend on the software. For example, try printing from Internet Explorer, Word or Notepad.

My Canon MX860 is printing, or attempting too print, everything (including Word) in PDF.

Sounds interesting! Uninstall the printer and all it's utilities from your pc. Sounds as there might be a bit of corruption in the print driver. Try a roll back of your o/s to a time when it was printing correctly. Then do a disk cleanup, a defrag. Have a restart of your system and then reinstall the software the printer
.
The roll back/recovery might clear any issues that have happened since all was working correctly. The disk cleanup will clear all the junk on the machine that is extraneous. The defrag should put all files into locations where their contiguity ensures you have a smoothly functioning machine. It may also overwrite some of the
faulty software belonging to the old installation of the printer
Sounds like a fine plan, and it should work.

You will need to reinstall the software driver disk that it came with. If you dont have the disk you can go to the Brother Printers website. Try www.brother.com and/or www.ibm.com

Printer status window interface stopped working dell AIO 926

I know this sounds too simple, but get a new USB cord. I had the exact same problem and it was driving me crazy. I followed all the advice about uninstalling, reinstalling and updating multiple times and it never fixed the problem. Finally, my husband made the simple suggestion that maybe it was a problem with the connectivity of the USB cord. I didn't have much faith in it, but I bought a new USB cord and hooked it up - and I have never had a problem with the printer since then. My original USB cord (the one replaced) was the one that came with the Dell printer - perhaps there is a flaw in the cord somewhere. ?

Hi. I have a lexmark 510, and a new Dell computer. I've hooked everything up correctly, but I can't get it to print. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

Hello!
Printers require drivers to talk to a computer. Drivers are small pieces of software that explain to a computer exactly how to use the attached device.

If you're using a Windows product, it should've found the printer when you hooked it up. In case it didn't, put the disk that came with the printer in the computer and follow the instructions. This should install the proper drivers automatically.

At the very least the disk may offer some troubleshooting or diagnostics that may help!

Good luck! Remember to rate the solutions!

I just rebooted my computer but i have no sound?

When you bought the computer and the sound on board, came with it, so did a disk that contained the sound software and driver for the motherboard. You need to reinstall both using that motherboard disk.     If you did not receive the disk, then you need to contact them for it.  Your other ooption is to buy a PCI soundcard, like Soundblaster that wil come with everything you need.  http://www.ibuypower.com/

Most times the PCL driver will work just fine for printing .pdf documents. Occasionally you will need to us a PS driver to print .dpf docutments. PCL was designed to work best with MS Word, Excel, etc programs and PS drivers were designed to work best with Adobe .pdf.

One way to see if you have the PS driver already installed, is to (in Windows XP) start>control panel>printers and faxes>in here look for an Icon that represents your printer that has PS in place of the PCL. If this is installed then when you go to print your docuement, choose this icon to print with.

If you do not have the PS driver already installed, try adding the printer to your system. You would do this by (Windows XP) start>control panel>printers and faxes>add a printer wizard>Next>Choose your connection(local or network)>Next>Select a printer port>Next>Install Printer Software(If you have downloaded the most recent drivers, choose have disk and navigate to where you saved it. If you have the CD, use have disk and navigate on the CD to where the PS driver is>Next>You may or may not get the next window asking you to choose whick model of printer you are installing, it varies from printer to printer. From here it is pretty straight foward, just read the wizard and click next. The last step you will need to click finish for the drivers to actually install.

As a side note, not all printers have a PS driver available.

After much thrashing, here is the solution to the problem. Somehow the printer drivers lost coordination with the corresponding Windows supporting programs. You would think that reinstalling the printer drivers would fix the problem, AND IT DOES, but there are 3 tricks:

· Uninstall everything associated with this printer with the install disk in the computer (this may really not be necessary, but it worked for me). [This is also the solution when the a window comes up asking for TrayApp to be inserted using a disk—they mean the hp install disk].

· After the un-install, MAKE SURE you ALSO delete the printer using the control panel. This is critical. If this doesn’t happen, the corresponding Windows software is somehow hooked to the wrong thing when the reinstall happens. Then reboot the system.

· Install the new drivers with the printer off, and the USB disconnected from the printer. Reboot the system [not sure the reboot is necessary]. After the computer has booted, connect the USB, and power up the printer. The computer will recognize the printer and put the printer icon in the Control Panel.

It turns out that correcting the driver mis-coordination by BOTH uninstalling the printer drivers and taking the printer out of the control panel, then properly reinstalling solves BOTH the fax problem, and the protection fault problem! Amazing such a little thing can make such a difference!

Why so slow?!!!??

Matt C., I bet that your 'IT guy' installed the Netgear software on each PC. He should have installed it on only 1 PC and used it to set the IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway on the PS101. Use the 'Printers and Faxes/Properties/Ports' tab of the printer to get the IP, you'll need it in a minute. Download and expand the appropriate Drivers for the printer, or have the CD ready. Remove all instances of the Netgear software from the PC's if your PS101 is configured (Use the 'Control Panel / Add-remove software') Once the PS101 is configured, you can install the 'network printer' on all 3 PC's using the following method (assuming WinXP): Click 'Start' Click 'Settings' Click 'Printer & Faxes' Click 'Add A Printer' When the 'Wizard' opens up, click 'Next' Make sure the option for 'Local printer attached to this computer' is selected, but DO NOT select 'Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer' Click 'Next' Click 'Create a new port' Using the 'drop down' select 'Standard TCP/IP port' Then click 'Next' twice In the field 'Printer Name or IP Address' enter the IP that your 'IT guy' assigned during the initial setup (You should have that from the 'Printers and Faxes/Properties/Ports' that I referenced earlier. Click 'Next' You should see 'Standard: Generic Network Card', if so click 'Next' then 'Finish' The 'Add Printer Wizard' should open. Click 'Have Disk' and browse to the folder that you expanded the drivers for the printer into. Click 'Print Testpage' Click 'Finish' You should be printing a lot faster. Let me know if this doesn't work, or isn't clear!
