4 blink is a fan error. This is caused by one of the three fans not spinning fast enough or has stopped completely. The fan that usually causes this error is the one over the bulb and toward the back of the set. The repair is not expensive, but to do the service correctly you must get all the dust out of the tv or the fan will clog up very fast again. Getting the dust out is kida tricky because you have to get the dust out without contaminating the light engine, if it gets contaminated you will get colored splotches on your picture. I recommend getting a pro to fix it, the repair should be fairly reasonable around $150 to do the repair. The fans are not that expensive.
