This is home page for cvx. It recommends 600 watts rms per sub...i.e 300 a coil. Rms rating is what you need to go by as it's what sub can take continually not like peak where that is a short spike like a kick drum hit. Good luck.

It can be pushed by the 500.1 just remember the jl puts that amount out regardless of voltage, you can have a screwed up alternator putting out ten volts and it will still sling 500 watts. I heard one that was powering a 12w7 that needs 1000watts minimum and it was slamming the hell out of it so two cvx's from Wal-Mart won't stand a chance.

It can but it'd be a waste for your subs. 1 of those by itself will handle that amp. it'll push them just not really hard, i'd recommend an upgrade to a 1100-1200 watt rms amp if you're gonna run 2 cvx's. if you only run one sub that amp'll work well...

I have a kicker 10 comp d dvc 4 ohm 600 watt. How do I run a obcon 2000i 2 channel amp to it

You can't. Total mismatch of power and impedance.

You need a mono amp that can push the RMS watts of the sub @ 2 ohm (sub wired parallel).

I have 2 12 inch kicker rt dual 2 ohm subs. On a kicker cx1200.1 i want to kno how to hook it up to 2ohm to the amp. And if i can add another 10 inch kicker rt 2ohm sub in the future.

Do to the impedance Of your sub u can't run it @2ohms its going to either be @1ohm or 4ohms and your amp isn't 1ohm stable and u will risk damaging your amp. So your only option is to run it @4ohms and on a good note your sub is 100-600 watts RMS and your amp will push 400-500 watts RMS @4ohms. Now if you want to run 2 sub's in the future That amp will work perfect because it pushes 1,200watts RMS @2ohms and to wire your 2 sub's @1ohm just follow the steps in the image below. Hope this helped.25345194-v0hbouy2nvquqteoroa5j5rq-3-0.png

I have 2 JL Audio 8W0's rated at 75 RMS. I had a MTX 280 Amp pushing them but need to replace it, what brand and size amp do you recommend for these speakers.

  • This Kicker Amp will compliment them JL Audios like nothing else. KICKER ZX Series ZX350.4 4 channels all rated @ 75 watts RMS. If it was me that would be my choice for a replacement amp.

I just bought a kicker cvx 12' less than a month ago and im pushing it with a alpine mrp-650 which is rated for 600w rms and the sub is rated for 750 RMS and i only had the amp turned up half way and i...

Yes, only if you can prove it and believe me, they have so many loop holes now that they can pretty much do what they want. The fact is though, the RMS ratings on speakers can vary, but usually mean either Max watts or Normal (constant) listening range, depending on manufacturer. The other thing to mention is, to get the best sound out of your speakers, they say to put exactly half the watts of power to the RMS watts that your speakers are made for, just for future reference. Hope this helps some and good luck!

Got jl300/2 amp confused which subwoofer sounds good

Hello drsubhakar26,

JL W6's will perform well with from 150-600 watts RMS. W7's with from 150-500 watts. Less expensive Alpine Type R's work OK with from 200-500 watts RMS. Either of the brands will sound good. None of them will perform to their full potential with 300 watts RMS. Powering any sub with a 2-channel amp is a compromise. A monoblock is more efficient.

Hope this helps.

What amp will push 2 kicker 15inch cvr's

Hello herb31,

Kicker lists the RMS power handling range of the CVR's from 100-500 watts, with a peak power capability of 1000 watts. There are lots of monoblock amps within that range. It just depends on how loud you want them and how much you want to spend.

In the low range, an amp like the Alpine MRP-M500 will deliver 250 watts to each sub at 2 ohms. And it only costs $179. Currently, the MRP-M500 is out of stock at Crutchfield. I just bought the last one. So my 2nd recommendation would be the Sony XM-1S, which has the same power rating and according to Crutchfield is no slouch either. It's also $179. I really like the Sony, too. It has a small footprint that makes it easy to find a convenient mounting location. Both the Sony and the Alpine are CEA-2006 compliant, so you can be sure that the manufacturer provided specifications are not overrated. Assuming that your vehicle electrical system can deliver the current, both the Sony and the Alpine will deliver an honest 250 watts RMS to each of your Kickers. And 250 watts will make them kick pretty darned good.

In the medium power range, consider either the JL Audio G Series G1700 which delivers 700 watts into 2 ohms. It costs $419 at Crutchfield. Or perhaps the Kicker 08ZX750 with 750 watts at a cost of $399.

To push the CVR's really hard, close to their 500 watt RMS maximum power range, look for an amp that delivers 1000 watts. In this range, you will definitely some heavy-duty wiring, electrical system upgrades, perhaps a 2 farad capacitor, and be ready to spend at least $600 on the amp. Your best combination of power and price would be another Alpine, the PDX-1.1000M, at $799. If you buy one from Crutchfield, they will throw in a 4-gauge amp wiring kit. And if you use a "friend referral code", such as mine, which is p7sdj-hrx8q-9800g, and your order is at least $200, you'll get another $20 discount. And I get a $20 credit toward a future order.

Hope this helps. If it does, please rate as "FixYa".

What Amp would i need to push three Kicker L7 12's?

Hello,

It depends on the specific subs and exactly what you want out of them. You have practically unlimited choices for amps.

The 10" L7 has a power range of from 30-600 watts RMS, the 12" from 50-750 watts, and the 15" from 100-1000 watts.

So if you have the 10's, you would want an amp that puts out at least 90 watts RMS and not more that 1,800. Unless you are really into SPL and have an unlimited budget, it's probably best to go somewhere in between.

Keep in mind that these Kickers need to be in a proper enclosure. They like a little more volume to work as compared to RF's or MTX's and some others.

Trying to find out wat the watts are on a jlw3 12 and a jlw0 12

The JL 12W0 needs 125 watts RMS. Sealed box it needs 1.5 cubic feet. Ported it needs 2.5 cubic feet.
The JL 12W3 needs 300 watts RMS. Sealed box it needs 1.25 cubic feet. Ported it needs 1.75 cubic feet. I wouldn't suggest running these subs together.
