Samsung refrigerator rs2630sh is not cooling, replaced the relay and fan and still nothing the compressor clicks but won't actually turn on

If you have a multi-meter that you can check resistance on you can check the compressor and make sure the windings are not shorted. Remove the relay on the compress , after you unplug it of course. Set the mulit-meter on the ohm Rx1 is good. Check between each pin if you get more that 10 ohms then the compressor is fried. a good reading is around 5 to 6 ohm. If below the 10 ohm but higher then the compressor is ok but getting ready to short out. I hope I have helped you. Have a great day.

Check thermostate on a samsung side by side frig rs2630sh

Set it to max setting, once compressor starts reduce setting to whatever you want to set it to. It should shut off once it reaches the temp you selected. If the compressor does not come on when set to max, unplug the unit, remove t/stat and jumper the two wires together. Plug it in, if the compressor then starts, replace the t/stat.

Samsung RS2630SH Side by Side Refrigerator not cooling down frig or freezer

Is the compressor running? If so, feel the discharge line is the line cold? If not the unit is probably out of Freon, which means it will have a leak somewhere in the system.

Was the motherboard replaced because the temp was too high? May be the condenser fan was at fault all the time. Check you have power at the fan. If you have, replace the fan. If you have not, take a live from the compressor to the fan. This will bypass any hp or fan speed control switch and run the condenser fan with the compressor.

The center plate deviding the two doors gets real hot and my freezer is not frezing my food

Pull the unit out away from the wall and remove the rear cover that gives you access to the compressor area in the unit most of the time this is caused by the compressor fan not running and if it is not running in your unit you will have to replace the fan motor itself. If you have any further questions message me back Thanks Rick

My samsung rs2630sh is very very hot to the touch

The fan you should replace is called the condenser fan. It's the one that blows air across the outside coils. When it fails, you'll usually notice abnormal heating of the front of the divider between freezer and fridge.

Noise (more detail)

I think I answered this in an earlier post.

The noise is the fan banging against the motor housing. It's not a defective motor, it's a poorly designed motor.

The solution is to shim the motor mount so it is slightly out of level which will keep the fan from bouncing off the motor housing.

The reason Samsung won't service is they don't understand the problem. I've seen this a half-dozen times.

Refrigerator housing is getting very hot

this is for sure the reeason for the heat between the doors, in mean time ( whike waitin got replace the fan behind the compressor, you can install a small cheap house fan behind unit to keep it cool , ohterwise it will eventually damage the compressor

well if your condenser fan shot out, i'd advise that you shouldn't use the unit but all your doing buy putting the fan is doing the job of the defective one. but your causing more stress to the compressor and system, your forcing it to "work overtime" so technically you are cutting the compressor's life
