Clean your battery compartment contacts with a cotton swab "dampened" with rubbing alcohol. Also clean the battery and the charger in the same fashion.

And after removing the battery, you first charged the battery before reinserting it?
Because when a camera suddenly stops, most of the time the battery is empty. At least it does not have enough power to work safely.
Try charging the battery, and reinsert it. Then I hope everything will look different.
Still it could be the battery is not in working order, but you should notice a different behaviour when charging it. If it almost takes as long as normal to charge the battery it should be ok.

I suggest that you perform a manual power resetting and check the operation.

Performing a manual power reset

  1. Turn off the camera.
  2. Remove the battery pack.
  3. Remove the button-sized lithium battery.
  4. Allow the camera to remain without power for 30 seconds.
  5. Reinsert the button-sized lithium battery.
  6. Reinsert the battery pack.
  7. Turn on the camera.

Lens doesnt close when switching of the camera bought it today!!!!!!

Hi,
If lens won't go back, Check batteries and make sure that they have sufficient charge, the batteries may need to be recharged or replaced. follow the instruction to resolve the problem.
--- Remove the battery and wait 30 Seconds & reinsert the battery, if your camera has a backup or date and time battery, remove this battery as well. Removal of the backup battery will cause a full reset of the camera and will clear any settings.

If this will not solve the problem your device need service (repair)

Good Luck & have a nice day

I have a camera it's a canon S5 IS i let a friend borrow it he dropped it and now the lens won't go back in it says lens error restart camera i need help

Hi,

Lens error occurred due to external shock, Now lens is prevented from properly extending or retracting.

1) Avoid applying pressure to the lens and surrounding area:
  • Do not touch Lens while shooting.
  • Make sure the camera is off before the camera is placed back in the case.
or..

2) Check batteries and make sure that they have sufficient charge, the batteries may need to be recharged or replaced. follow the instruction to resolve the problem.
  • Remove the battery and wait 30 Seconds & reinsert the battery, if your camera has a backup or date and time battery, remove this battery as well. Removal of the backup battery will cause a full reset of the camera and will clear any settings.

Flash witeout

Hi there, you mentioned continuous shooting right. Your mean Sequence mode? One click and 7- 12 continue image sequence wise? If its then the problem is, your camera battery is not good now. He is not able to give required power supply to you camera flash. When few snaps done after the he loss his battery power & flash power going under(-) & your camera motor going slow, that's why shutter not open and close proper time. And the final result is whiter & whiter images. Hope you understand, what i am saying. So change the battery & buy a new original battery.
Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

When I turn on my camera it says Access and after a few seconds it says turn on and off. When I do that it does the same thing over again

Hi there, Please confirm before power on the camera that, your battery is fully charged. If yes then remove the memory card & turn on the camera. Hope that time your camera working properly. Some time virus infected memory card not allowed to turning on the camera.
But with out memory card if the same problem happens then reset your camera or visit Sony service center. Because your camera operating system is corrupted and need to reinstall it again.
Thanks & waiting for your further quarry or feedback.

Hp photosmart R927. No power, no operation, no LCD, battery good.

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

If this response helps, please take a moment to post a rating for me. "Very Helpful" would be appreciated.

Lens won't move stuck halfway out

looks like the lens assembly servo mechanism is malfunctioning.
try to push the lens in manually-push down gently until in and power the camera after. If that does not help you will probably need to change the lens assembly (it should be done by a proffessional)
