How do I upgrade an HP Compaq to Windows 10 if it has an NVIDIA G6150SE nf430...

If you have a problem upgrading to Windows 10 with an NVIDIA G6150SE NF430 graphics card on an HP Compaq running Windows 7, then here is the solution.

Windows tells you the card is incompatible with Windows 10 because NVIDIA has not updated the driver.

First, Go Here and Upgrade to 10: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
You need to upgrade it from the Web vs the Windows 10 Upgrade Icon. The web version will upgrade to Windows 10 and install a generic Microsoft Driver. During the installation use the Media Creation Tool and select Upgrade this PC now. When it warns that the video chip is incompatible you just click 'Confirm' and the installation continues. The generic Windows basic video driver works fine and I was able to change the resolution to 1280x1024 which is what I need and it looks fine. Don't worry that it takes a long time to complete. That is because it checks for updates.

Second, Download and install the latest 8.1 driver here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/56378
This worked with no problems. Please note some things that require later DirectX may not work correctly, but many tasks will run fine.

This problem is all over the place, but people are misunderstanding the problem. It only occurs with INCOMING video (sometimes after just a few SECONDS). OUTGOING video is fine (so it's not a problem...

  1. Most Programs Don't run 64 bit operating systems very well nor have the driver support 32 bit will work fine setting that aside open internet explorer left click tools go to compatibility view settings check display all websites in compatibility view. And read below as well if this is no fix go to skype support for more help. This sounds like your problem is yours in settings .
  2. Update your Windows with the latest Service Packs and updates, available via Windows Update.
  3. Then reinstall Skype.
  4. After installing Skype it's important to adjust your firewall settings.
  5. Ensure you have the latest device drivers for sound and video (available on the device manufacturer's website).
  6. Make sure that you have the latest version of DirectX (the core multimedia component of Windows) installed on your computer.

If you are in windows OS then press CTRL + ALT + DEL and click on process and then locate all yahoo process and then right click and click END PROCESS and also go to THIS LINK and click on download and then install it.
IF THIS IS ABOUT WINDOWS MESSENGER THEN
  • Problem: Windows Live Messenger Won't Start / Load / Launch / Open

    Solution:

I have this problem for a few weeks. Tried everything suggested by everyone who managed to fix their problems. None worked. I tried uninstall and reinstall but to no avail. Somehow if you upgrade it to the latest version, the problem solved.

I was desperate so I decided to go with an older version. Somehow my problem was solved. I can't guarantee it would work for you though.

    1. Uninstall everything related to WLM from Control Panel
    2. Download an old version from one of these sites (if you are the super-paranoid type and concern virus, try downloading it from Microsoft if it is still available):

    MSN Messenger 8.5.1235 (19.4 MB) from http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=msnm

Other sites where you can find old versions of software
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_msn_messenger/
    http://www.oldapps.com/msn_messenger.htm

    3. Install the old version, but it won't work as Microsoft would insist you upgrade to the latest version.

    4. Go with it. When the installation is done, WLM is back to normal.

    5. I must add that my original problematic WLM was the traditional Chinese version, and when I upgraded/reinstalled I chose the standard English version. My windows is an XP SP2 Traditonal Chinese version.

So good luck to you all and hope that your end of frustration is in sight!
  • or use this solution 1. Kill all "msnmsgr.exe" process.
    2. Run regedit (be carefull) and go to:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger
    3. Select all the values on the RIGHT SIDE of this window.
ie: (Default) REG_SZ (value not set)
    AppCompatCanary REG_SZ 8.5.....
    AppSettings REG_BINARY 6202..
    ...
    4. Delete only that selection and close regedit.
    5. Run "Windows Live Messenger", enjoy!
