You may have to go to the dealership and get the Service Bulletin on this one. Sometimes the owner's manual is NOT correct. You may see what the Dealership charges to reprogram BUT... I'd bet it is at least $75. This is USUALLY a simple task. Maybe try it again a couple of times before you head to the Dealership. "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again". I've had to do this 4-5 times before it would reprogram on similar cars.... DOUBLE CHECK the battery in the remote for voltage. You might want to replace it anyway. That way you won't have to go thru this when the battery in the remote dies... In a 6 year old car, it's about at the end of its life cycle.
