I believe it needs to be in File Mode, which requires loading each file. I don't think you can "play" .jpgs Only your manual can tell you how to put it in File Mode

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Tv won't show all my hardrive files

TV's only support a few general files, like JPG for pictures, and AVI for video. Video can be broken down further. An old avi may not play, but a new one will, based on the codecs.

Verify what type of files are support by your TV.

How to hide files in a jpg photo

1) Take two files -
one which you want to hide and another will be the jpg image(of any size and dimension)to hide that file

If you want to hide multiple files in one jpeg image, just zip them into one file

2) To make the process easy, Copy the above two files to the C:

3) Now open the command prompt (Go to start, Click "RUN" and type "cmd").

4) get to the root by typing cd\ or you can give the path name where the files are located

5) Now type the following command:

copy /b imagename.jpg + filetohide.ext new_image.jpg

6) Now a new file new_image.jpg will be created

7) Double click on the file and it will open the image which you used to hide the secret file

8) To access the hidden file simply change the extension from jpg to orignal extension of the hidden file,

Example: I took an image filename "myphoto.jpg"
I wanted to hide some important word documents so I zipped all the word files and created a zip file "word.zip"
Then copied both "myphoto.jpg" and "word.zip" to c:
Opened the command prompt
Typed the command: copy /b myphoto.jpg + word.zip new_image.jpg
Now I have a new file "new_image.jpg" in C:
When I double click on the new file it shows me the image of "myphoto.jpg"

If I change the extension of new_image.jpg to new_image.zip I can extract the contents of the .zip file

ENJOY !

You would need to provide more information, about the issue, viz., Operating system version, What is that Cd (a movie, software etc). But reading your question seems like you are referring to the windows 'Auto Play'

Goto 'My Computer' and right click on the CD Drive and click explore. See if it open a windows with the content of the Cd files.

To enable the auto play, follow the following instruction

Double-click "My Computer," right-click on the drive you would like to Autoplay and click on "Properties.
  1. Step 2
    jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep2 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/5147384/250341_Full.jpg'); });
    Click the "Autoplay" tab.
  2. Step 3
    jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep3 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/5147384/250343_Full.jpg'); });
    Click the down arrow to choose the content type you would like to Autoplay.
  3. Step 4
    jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep4 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/5147384/250345_Full.jpg'); });
    Click the radio button next to "Select an action to perform."
  4. Step 5
    jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep5 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/5147384/250350_Full.jpg'); });
    Click on the program you would like to use to play the CD or DVD.
  5. Step 6
    jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep6 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/5147384/250351_Full.jpg'); });
    Click "OK," and then click the red "X" in the upper right corner to close the "My Computer" box.

I am trying to burn photos to a cd in a certain order if i drag them to the burn icon for roxio will they burn that way

Rename the files so they fall in the order you wish them displayed.
Be sure you turn on the file extension! When renaming make sure that extension is the same.
0001 MyPic.jpg
0002 Mypic.jpg
0003 Mypic.bmp
etc..

Be mindful of the number of images you are transferring.
This numbering scheme will play out at 9,999. Doubt you have that many. :)

And yes you need the leading Zero's.
If there is a setting in Roxio that allows unsorted burning.
Then it may burn the images in the order your pulled them over.
General rule of thumb... what you see is not always what you get!
Renaming the files will take the guess work out.

Good luck!

10 out of 200 JPEG files burnt to CD aren't viewable on DVD playe

are all the files the same extension? JPEG and JPG are different as far as how they are encoded? even if you NAME THEM .JPG or .JPEG it is the encoding method you choose to export them as that makes the difference. As in Coreldraw for example. They is a JPEG and JPG export filter.

PTID 5800 SCREEN SAVERS

yes, the solution is very simple and i dunnow why the manual doesnt mention it.

Try placing a jpg file of ur choice on the cd or dvd or usb flash memory, and choose it or just move the cursor on it, if u choose it(BY PRESSING ENTER) or as if u will play it, it becomes full screen, if u just place the cursor on it from the menu it will show as a small icon on the left of the soings menu of the MP3 file list.
Further more, if u place more than one file, and press enter on one, the PTID5800 will start a slide show! To pause one image, press pause(play) or zoom, u can even forward images and back them up using ffwd and reverse! it only accepts jpg, didnt accept GIF but sometimes it accepts BMP dunnow which ones, but to play it safe, stick to JPGs
