SOURCE: touch screen freeze on samsung behold sgh-t919

Touch screen either totally freezes and does not regisiter anything I do or regisiters some selections and then goes of on its own and jumps in and out of menus without pressing anything and then locks itself and will only reset by turning the phone off, which doesn't always work either, sometimes the only way to get out is to remove the battery for a short period. This seems to be happening freqently and is becoming frustration due to it stopping the use of the phone for long periods

SOURCE: Samsung SGH-T919 screen is not

It's possible that it's water damage. Usually thats the problem that I've seen when touch screens stop functioning properly. You can check for water damage by taking out the battery. There should be a little white box somewhere on the battery. But if that box is blue, then it is water damage. If you are not comfortable taking apart your phone, I would bring it to your nearest phone provider's store location and ask them to check if its due to water damage.

The good news is that if it ISN'T due to water damage, and it's just a software malfunction, they should replace it for free!

Hope this helped

The touch screen of my Samsung SGH- T919 will not work.

Usually when touch screens don't work, it is due to water damage. You can bring your phone to your carrier's nearest store and ask someone that works there to check if your phone suffered water damage. They'll check the inside of your phone. If that's the case, you'll probably have to buy a new one. If you're insured this shouldnt be TOO expensive. But if you bring it to the store and it's NOT water damage, they should replace the phone for free!

The touch screen on my Samsung Behold t919 quit working after only 10 months of use. No dropping, no water damage, it just quit working.

Hi,when a touch screen stop working it might have shifted from the position it was.If not that means touch screen is damage and will need replacement.

You can still take it back to where you bought the phone from. If the phone is still other guarantee for replacement of the touch screen pad.

Have a nice day.
