Question about Philips 43PP9202 43" Rear Projection Television
You have a $ decision---this model uses two STK-392-120 convergence IC's--if it will not adjust one is bad.
Both need to be replaced--you can buy a pair on Ebay for less than 14 dollars plus shipping. Sometimes there will be a bad resistor near on of the chips that also needs to be replaced--this is a very common problem in rear projection TV sets--I have repaired hundreds of sets with this problem.
If you cannot do the repair yourself shop around your area--most shops charge about 300 for a repair like this on your set-I do lots of them here for 200 total.
If the $ cost does not make sense--it is time to buy a new TV--but remember this kind of set has a lot less problems than LCD or Plasma TV sets.....
If you have any questions or need more information let me know--I am here to help people.
