Error code E2F3 indicates oven overheating, i.e. sensor is not cutting off heat. Replace the sensor, about $75 online. If you have done this more than twice, or if oven is acting strangely (for instance, broiler comes on during "bake" preheat), replace control board OEM part #8302994, about $170.

I have not so new Kenmore 790 gas range oven. The gas range and brioler work but the oven won't heat up. Suggestions?

I have the same oven and the same thing happened to me. I had to change out the heating element to Ignite the lower baking part. Trying to change it out is another story. I used metal snips to "open" the rear part to change it out. I was not ready to take apart the whole oven. The Part cost about 75$ from a part store, and the connections are easy. Hope this helped.

Hello - Most troubles with ranges occur during the "self-clean" cycle. The problem- no lower burner- could be a bad ignitor. Part is 40-75$ Fairly easy to install, or have done for about 75-100$ Let me know if info helps- I have more if you need it - Thanks- ED

Kenmore electrical oven

Trying to better define the problem....

Do you have any cuts, holes or "shorting" or tin-foil/aluminum around your bottom bake heat-element? If so, you may need to replace the baking Heat Element. (Ensure you do not use aluminum foil around your heat element to prevent your oven from getting dirty)

To replace your baking heat element, with power off; remove 2 screws securing the bake element. Slightly tug and pull towards you for about 3 inches or so and disconnect the connecting wires at each end. Then completely remove the heat element and install new in reverse manner. Whats' you're model number?

Oven does not work

most common cause of gas range, oven not heating is a result of a faulty oven ignitor, you would need to verify power(110volts) to ignitor, located under iven floor attached to the bake burner. simple enough job for the homeowner to replace probalby about 50-75 for part

sounds as if you need a new bake ignitor, def somethin you can do your self, remove the bottom of the oven floor to acess it, its screwed onto the bake burner and either plugged in or 2 wires disconnect right there, bring to a l;ocal wharehouse for the part, $50-$75. installs same way as comes out, remember to unplug unit before servicing wires will be live
